We had the good fortune of connecting with Edgar Angel and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Edgar, how has your background shaped the person you are today?
I am born and raised in Los Angeles, CA from Mexican parents. This has shaped me to become the person I am today as my parents taught me that nothing is handed to you for free. I saw them demonstrate that if you want something you have to work for it. There are no shortcuts and hacks to accomplish your goals other than to go after them. It lead me to be focused and determined to work hard and create content that is the best quality it can be for my audience and keep making that better every video. Living in Los Angeles, the city of dreams, is motivating in itself seeing the potential to succeed that drives me to want to level up.

Alright, so let’s move onto what keeps you busy professionally?
The thing that sets me apart from the rest is that the content that I produce is unique to who I am and exactly how I am off camera. I am most proud of having found a narrowed down niche and being able to bring entertainment to others with the videos I create. The way I got to where I am today was by just posting. It was not an easy journey but I have enjoyed every step of the way as I am not exactly where I want to be yet. As you continue to create and post, you learn something new everyday to better yourself. I have learned that if you stay focused on your goals and not listen to the outside noise, there is nothing that will stop you from reaching them. My brand has been developed in entertainment, sports, and lifestyle that does not feel like I am working as I truly enjoy this.

Let’s say your best friend was visiting the area and you wanted to show them the best time ever. Where would you take them? Give us a little itinerary – say it was a week long trip, where would you eat, drink, visit, hang out, etc.
If someone was visiting Los Angeles there is endless places where they can visit with many being restaurants and of course DTLA and Hollywood. The beaches that are here is also somewhere that can be a change of scenery for those visiting. There are also plenty of theme parks to choose from and stadiums to visit for concerts or sporting events.

The Shoutout series is all about recognizing that our success and where we are in life is at least somewhat thanks to the efforts, support, mentorship, love and encouragement of others. So is there someone that you want to dedicate your shoutout to?
My wife has been there with me every step of the way to get to where my social media is today. She helps me with anything that I may need whether it may be brainstorming ideas, creating video concepts, filming, and being a part of my videos. The success my social media has had so far is both of ours as I could not have done it without her. Social media can get difficult with all the comments/opinions of others and her being there for me helps stay focused and continue to reach my goals and be determined to work.
