We had the good fortune of connecting with Alli Wulfert and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Alli, what do you attribute your success to?
More than anything else, my faith is the most important aspect of my life and career. Working in entertainment is very vulnerable, and it has a lot of ups and downs, so it’s vital to have your foundation built on something that will never change or fail. I know that at the end of the day, whether everything goes perfectly, or nothing goes the way that I would’ve liked, I still have my relationship with Jesus, and he will never leave me or let me down. Everything else in my life is built on that, and I’m incredibly thankful to know that I can navigate the rest of my career with that foundation! More than that, I know that his love and goodness isn’t based on how I perform, and I get to live in that peace.

Alright, so let’s move onto what keeps you busy professionally?
I grew up doing musical theatre and ended up studying that in college. It wasn’t until then that some of my professors and managers encouraged me to try comedy. It took me a few years, but eventually, I took my first improv class, and the rest was history. I’m discovering how closely my dramatic projects, comedy, singing, and even social media content are tied together. My goal in my career is to bring joy into every project I work on, and I believe there can be joy in both dramatic and comedic projects alike. I always strive to stay true to who I was made to be, hoping this gives me a unique voice. In a world with so much darkness and heaviness, my hope is that everyone who encounters my work will feel a bit of that joy and hopefulness!

Any places to eat or things to do that you can share with our readers? If they have a friend visiting town, what are some spots they could take them to?
I love hosting people in LA! My first stop for every visitor is a show at The Groundlings. Living in LA, it can be easy to take it for granted, but we literally have some of the best live comedy in the world right down the street, and that’s just so epic.

Griffith Observatory is another favorite of mine, and I always love going to the Chinese Theatre or Beverly Cinema for a movie, and Larchmont for dinner, shopping, and even just walking around.

Hosting visitors makes me so giddy to live in this amazing place—I love seeing the city through their eyes!

Who else deserves some credit and recognition?
I’m so thankful for my family! My parents, 5 brothers, and 3 sisters are literally some of my best friends. Without their constant support, I wouldn’t be able to pursue my dreams in the ways I’m able to today. They’re always the first to cheer me on, remind me of who I am and why I’m doing this, and share in both the laughter and the tears through every success and failure.

I’ve also been so fortunate to find friends that have truly become like family to me in LA, and I couldn’t be more thankful for them.

One of my close friends once told me “Life is so much less about what you spend it doing and so much more about who you spend it with.” And I’ve found that to be so true. I’m thankful to have a family and friends that have made this career path so rich and beautiful, and they’ve taught me that one of the best gifts you can give to someone is to believe in them.
