Hi Monika, we’d love to hear more about how you thought about starting your own business?
I’ve always had a deep passion for creativity and helping others feel their most confident. As a young girl, I would experiment with makeup, turning it into a form of art and self-expression. It wasn’t just about beauty for me—it was about transforming how someone feels and helping them shine.

The turning point came when I started getting requests to do makeup for weddings and events. I never imagined that my passion could become a full-fledged career, but every time I saw the joy on a client’s face, I knew this was something I was meant to do. Taking that leap to start my own business was a mix of excitement and fear, but I believed in my talent and was determined to give it my all.

Fast forward to today, my journey has led me to opportunities I never dreamed of. I’ve had the honor of working backstage at some of the biggest music industry events, collaborating with incredible artists and being part of moments that define pop culture. It’s surreal to think about how far I’ve come—from doing makeup in my small studio to stepping into the world of high-energy stages and red carpets.

Every experience has reminded me of why I started: to bring out the best in people and leave a mark through my artistry. My business has allowed me to not only grow creatively but also to create a legacy of helping others feel beautiful and confident in every moment, whether it’s a bride’s big day or a star’s performance in front of thousands.

Alright, so let’s move onto what keeps you busy professionally?
As a makeup artist, my work is not just about applying makeup—it’s about enhancing confidence, creating stories, and capturing moments. My art is inspired by my clients’ individuality and the transformative power of beauty. I pride myself on my versatility, whether it’s creating a natural glow for a bride, a bold editorial look, or a polished finish for major music events. I specialize in skin techniques that create a flawless canvas, glam applications that enhance every feature, and colorful makeup that adds personality and flair. What sets me apart is my commitment to understanding my clients’ needs and my ability to blend creativity with professionalism.

One of the things I’m most proud of is having the opportunity to work at some of the most prestigious music events in the industry, such as the Billboard Music Awards. It’s a surreal experience to see my work under the spotlight, knowing it’s contributing to something bigger than myself. I’ve also had the privilege of working with top magazines and fashion shows, where the artistry and energy are truly unmatched.

I’m also fortunate to work with some incredible makeup brands that trust in my artistry and collaborate with me to showcase their products in my makeup videos. Their support is a true honor, and it’s a testament to the work I’ve put into building trust and credibility in the industry.

My journey to where I am today has been anything but easy. There were moments of self-doubt, financial challenges, and the constant pressure of standing out in a competitive industry. However, I’ve always leaned on my determination and the lessons I’ve learned along the way. For example, I realized that staying true to my style and being genuine in my connections with clients and peers were keys to building trust and credibility.

If there’s one thing I want the world to know about me and my brand, it’s that my work goes beyond just makeup. It’s about creating unforgettable experiences and moments of empowerment for everyone I work with. My story is one of perseverance, creativity, and gratitude for the support I’ve received from my family, and clients who have believed in my artistry and vision.

If you had a friend visiting you, what are some of the local spots you’d want to take them around to?
If my best friend were visiting for a week, here’s how I’d show them the best time:

We’d start the day with breakfast at a cozy, small café with a great vibe and amazing aromas. Afterward, we’d stroll through the streets of Beverly Hills and Santa Monica, taking in the sights. I’d take her to my favorite makeup stores—places that give us that same makeup ‘high’ I get whenever I visit! Then, we’d grab coffee at Porto’s, my go-to spot for the best brews and pastries.
: A hike up the Hollywood stairs to get a great view of the city would be a perfect way to spend the morning. After working up an appetite, we’d head to the beach to enjoy some delicious street tacos and relax.

The Shoutout series is all about recognizing that our success and where we are in life is at least somewhat thanks to the efforts, support, mentorship, love and encouragement of others. So is there someone that you want to dedicate your shoutout to?
I truly believe that no one achieves success entirely on their own. My journey as a makeup artist has been shaped by incredible people and experiences. Traveling to places like Miami, Indiana, Las Vegas, LA and New York has broadened my perspective and fueled my passion for my craft.

I want to thank my family—my husband, son, brothers, and parents—for their unwavering love and support. They’ve always believed in me, even when I doubted myself, and their encouragement has been the foundation of everything I’ve accomplished.

A huge shoutout to TNT Agency, whose mentorship and opportunities were pivotal in shaping my professional journey. Their guidance gave me the skills and confidence to navigate this competitive industry.

One unforgettable moment was when a loyal client recommended me for a major music event, a turning point that highlighted the power of trust and relationships.
