Meet Kayla-rae Campbell | REALTOR®

We had the good fortune of connecting with Kayla-rae Campbell and we’ve shared our conversation below.
Hi Kayla-Rae, how do you define success?
I define success as the ability to transform passions and challenges into meaningful growth. For me, accomplishments that allow me to integrate my interests and help others feel empowered are the most rewarding. I’ve faced challenges that have taught me resilience and the importance of being adaptable and creative. This perspective helps me guide my clients with compassion, ensuring they always know they have options and support. My goal is for my clients to feel informed, supported, and confident in their homeownership journey. Community and connection are at the heart of what I do.

Alright, so let’s move onto what keeps you busy professionally?
I’m incredibly passionate about what I do as a REALTOR®, and my work is centered around more than just transactions—it’s about empowering people through one of the most meaningful experiences of their lives: homeownership. What sets me apart is my focus on education, genuine care, and building lasting relationships with my clients. I’m committed to guiding people through every stage of their real estate journey, whether they’re buying, selling, or planning for the future. I want my clients to feel informed, confident, and truly supported, knowing I’m in their corner long after the deal closes.
Before real estate, I worked in hospitality under Marriott and the Sheraton at the Fairgrounds in Pomona. That experience taught me the importance of genuine connection, exceptional service, and creating lasting memories for the people I served. Relationships are truly what I live for, and I couldn’t imagine doing any work I wasn’t passionate about. My background shaped how I approach real estate—putting people first, ensuring they feel valued, and going above and beyond to deliver a memorable experience.
Getting to where I am today wasn’t easy, and I’m proud of the resilience I’ve built along the way. Starting in real estate during a shifting market required adaptability, continuous learning, and a willingness to step out of my comfort zone. The challenges I’ve faced, like navigating an evolving market and the learning curve of being a newer agent, taught me that success doesn’t come from shortcuts but from consistently showing up, being authentic, and staying committed to those I serve.
Beyond my work, I’m a proud dog mom, a lover of historic homes, and passionate about supporting local businesses and my community. Whether it’s sharing the story behind a beautifully preserved home or connecting clients with local gems, I believe in the power of celebrating the neighborhoods we live in.
I want the world to know that my brand is built on trust, integrity, and education. I believe everyone deserves access to the right information and a professional who genuinely cares about their outcome. My story is one of continuous growth, fueled by the desire to make a positive impact—whether it’s through helping families find their dream homes, educating first-time buyers, or building long-term connections in my community.
Ultimately, I’m not just in the business of selling homes; I’m in the business of helping people build their futures with confidence and clarity.

Let’s say your best friend was visiting the area and you wanted to show them the best time ever. Where would you take them? Give us a little itinerary – say it was a week long trip, where would you eat, drink, visit, hang out, etc.
I believe in embracing the city’s rich diversity, reflected in its people, culture, and experiences. The best way to explore LA is to take a flexible approach, savoring each moment and going with the flow. A perfect day might start at the beach in Santa Monica, enjoying the sun and a stroll along the pier with ice cream in hand, immersing in the laid-back California lifestyle. A hike up to Griffith Observatory is a must for breathtaking views and a touch of LA’s iconic scenery.
To dive into LA’s vibrant food scene, we’d visit spots like Kazu Nori in Downtown LA for sushi, Alchemist Coffee in K-Town for a cozy coffee break, and Guisados for mouthwatering tacos. Evening explorations could take us to Echo Park’s hidden cocktail bars, including Bar Flores and Bar Henry, for unique drinks and local ambiance.
Cultural experiences would include visits to renowned institutions like The Broad, The Getty, and the Petersen Automotive Museum. We’d stroll through the Arts District, celebrating the creativity of local artists, and explore Little Tokyo, reflecting on its deep cultural roots. Historic sites like Olvera Street, tied to my Hispanic heritage, would be a meaningful stop, as well as the Hollyhock House, showcasing unique architecture.
Additional must-see neighborhoods include Chinatown for its vibrant streets, Hollywood for its iconic attractions, and Venice, offering nostalgic charm and a glimpse of LA’s cultural diversity despite its evolution over time. Shopping at the Los Feliz Farmers Market, the Original Farmers Market on Wilshire, or Grand Central Market would allow us to experience the city’s vibrant atmosphere while sampling delicious treats. Specialty grocery stores with high-nutrition offerings and natural foods across LA and the Inland Empire would also be on our list.
Expanding beyond the city, we’d explore Pasadena for thrifting and a visit to historic neighborhoods, Alhambra for a meal at Sam Woo, and Arcadia for nostalgic stops at Taco Treat. For a step back in time, Galco’s Old World Grocery provides a delightful place to reminisce, while the La Mirada Swap Meet offers an eclectic shopping experience filled with hidden gems.
LA’s magic lies in its diversity, blending food, culture, history, and unique neighborhoods into an unforgettable experience. Whether visiting iconic landmarks or finding joy in lesser-known spots, every corner of the city has a story to tell, making it a perfect place to create lifelong memories with friends and family.

Shoutout is all about shouting out others who you feel deserve additional recognition and exposure. Who would you like to shoutout?
I’m incredibly grateful for the people and experiences that have shaped my journey. First and foremost, I want to thank my family, especially my mother, for their unwavering support, patience, and understanding. They’ve always been there for me, offering encouragement and love when I needed it most. I’ve also learned to thank myself. Over the years, I’ve realized the importance of being both my biggest supporter and my own source of strength. Learning to give myself grace and meet my own needs has been a powerful part of my growth.
Mentorship has also played a transformative role in my life. I’ve been blessed with mentors who have poured into me, sometimes in ways they may not even realize, and that support has helped me see my own potential more clearly. I believe mentorship comes in many forms—whether through personal relationships, books, or even brief encounters where a kind word can make a lasting impact. My early experience as a dancer and teaching from a young age taught me that we’re all role models, whether we realize it or not. We never truly know how our words or actions can inspire someone else, and that’s why I try to speak encouragement and positivity into the people around me.
To those who have been part of my journey, whether closely or in passing, thank you. Your kindness and belief in me have made a lasting impact, and I hope to continue passing that forward.
