Meet Tony Azzi | Real Estate Investment Broker

We had the good fortune of connecting with Tony Azzi and we’ve shared our conversation below.
Hi Tony, have there been any changes in how you think about work-life balance?
Balance is key to a fulfilled life. It’s not just about the destination but enjoying the journey along the way. Success doesn’t happen overnight, so it’s important to have a schedule—wake up at a set time, work out, take care of yourself, and then handle business. Organizing your time efficiently allows you to do what you need and live a fulfilled life. I start my day at 4 AM, responding to emails before heading to the gym, where I work out and catch up with friends. Afterward, I tackle more emails, get ready, and jump on calls. Routine, discipline, and organization are the foundation of success. Communication and building relationships are also key—talking to people, networking, and staying connected are essential parts of our business and growth.

Can you give our readers an introduction to your business? Maybe you can share a bit about what you do and what sets you apart from others?
What sets The Azzi Group apart is our commitment to honesty, transparency, and always putting our clients’ best interests first. It’s not just about closing a deal—it’s about making the right decisions that will benefit them long-term. We take the time to understand their goals and provide guidance that aligns with their financial future.
Our client-first philosophy also drives the way we support and develop our team. Something I’m especially proud of is the people I’ve mentored and helped grow in this business. Over the years, I’ve had the opportunity to train and develop a strong group of independent brokers, giving them the tools and knowledge they need to succeed. Creating opportunities for others and watching them thrive is one of the most rewarding aspects of my work. Of course, being in a position to guide others didn’t happen overnight—it came from walking the path myself.
Getting to where I am today took discipline, hard work, and persistence. Nothing in this business comes easy, but when you stay committed, set clear goals, and put in the effort, you make progress. It’s all about consistency and persistency even when the path isn’t smooth. I’ve learned to tackle challenges one day at a time. Success is about showing up, staying focused, and continuously working toward your goals. If you remain dedicated and keep putting in the work, you’ll eventually break through any obstacles that come your way.
That same mindset—of showing up and doing the work with intention—carries over into how we serve our clients. Our team understands that what we handle represents a significant part of our clients’ net worth, and we don’t take that responsibility lightly. Every decision we help our clients make is a financial turning point, and we approach it with the care and diligence it deserves. Our goal is to guide them in the right direction so they can succeed and prosper, not just in the short term but for years to come.
If you had a friend visiting you, what are some of the local spots you’d want to take them around to?
If a friend was visiting for a week, I’d keep it simple and show them some of my favorite spots—good food, great views, and a little bit of everything LA has to offer.
We’d start with a drive along Pacific Coast Highway, stopping in Malibu to enjoy the ocean and grab lunch at Tramonto in Malibu— Wilfredo, the owner, is a great guy, and the food and service are always excellent. After that, we’d go for a hike in Malibu.
Another day, we’d head to Santa Monica and Venice for a change of scenery. Dinner at Tar & Roses is always a solid choice, a great local spot with fresh, flavorful food.
Other good options include Piccolo Santa Monica for excellent Italian, or if we’re in the mood for something different, Carnival for Lebanese or Darya for Persian cuisine.
For a nice dinner out, Cipriani Beverly Hills, Alba, or Marea Beverly Hills are all great Italian options. If we’re in the mood for Greek, Avra Beverly Hills and Loukà are always a good choice. We’d also stop by The Century City Mall—one of the best places to shop, with some great rooftop dining.
Nothing too complicated—just good meals, good company, and a chance to enjoy the city.

The Shoutout series is all about recognizing that our success and where we are in life is at least somewhat thanks to the efforts, support, mentorship, love and encouragement of others. So is there someone that you want to dedicate your shoutout to?
I’d like to thank the platform of Marcus & Millichap, our founders George M. Marcus and William A. Millichap, and our CEO Hessam Nadji for building an incredible foundation for success. I’m also grateful for the many people I’ve met over the years—clients, associates, and mentors—who have shared their wisdom and guided me in the right direction. And, of course, my family, whose unwavering support has been invaluable every step of the way.
