Meet Jackie Mena

Today we’re excited to be connecting with Jackie Mena again. If you haven’t already, we suggest you check out our prior conversation with them here.
Jackie , thanks for joining us again. Just to level set a bit for folks who may have missed our last interview together, can you briefly introduce yourself?
I believe fashion photography, which is what I do. Is all about story telling I want to bring a vision to life, so I collaborate with designers, model, HMUA to create images that showcase fashion at it’s best light. I love to do editorial style shoots, I love styling wardrobe and taking control of my images and what I want to present. I believe art shouldnt come with borders. Playing with art is what makes it fun, what makes it your style. There are no wrong or rights, just creative freedom. I also dabble a little with AI, blending real work photography images and digital art and exploring what it means to step out of the box.

Alright, so our main goal today is to give our audience an update on what you have been up to since our last conversation. We’d love to hear how things are going and what you are most looking forward to or excited about these days.
My journey was rough at first, as since we last spoke I was not doing much in terms of creativity. Lately I have been diving deeper into my fashion photography. Bringing bold visions to life and collaborating with people who I feel bring value to my work and speak to what my vision is without compromising their work. We work together in a collaborative effort. Styling wardrobe and creating images that excite my viewers whether intentional or non-intentional is where my focus lies. I’ve been getting my series together to submit to magazines and sites that I feel align with my work. From since we last spoke I actually have a studio I work from. It feels nice to experiment. I cant wait for what’s next!
