We had the good fortune of connecting with Jazmine Kwong and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Jazmine, how has your perspective on work-life balance evolved over time?
For me, work-life balance has become less about chasing a perfect structure and more about staying in tune with myself. I’ve gone through seasons where I was all-in on work—and while that can be exciting, I’ve learned I can’t sustain my best work without space to breathe, reset, and just be a person outside of what I do.

These days, I think about balance more as a flow. Some weeks are busier, and that’s okay as long as I’m being intentional and not running on autopilot. My personal brand is rooted in clarity and depth, so I try to bring that same intentionality to how I manage my time and energy. It’s less about strict boundaries and more about staying connected to what actually fuels me.

What should our readers know about your business?
I created my personal brand, JazmineK_pa, to bring together all aspects of my work—my social media creative projects, injector trainer and consultant business, modeling/acting and my role as an experience creator with Insomniac—under one unified space. Navigating the world of social media has definitely been a challenge; this is a new and rapidly evolving industry that many of us are still figuring out. I’ve learned a great deal through platforms like YouTube, which have been invaluable for gaining insights and expanding my knowledge.

What sets my brand apart is my belief that knowledge is power. Through JazmineK_pa, I want to empower others by sharing not just my experience/expertise, but also building a community grounded in shared experience and support. My goal is to give people access to the tools and confidence they need to thrive.

Beyond my creative work, I’m a healthcare professional—a physician associate specializing in facial plastic + reconstructive surgery. This role combines medical expertise with a deeply creative element, as I help patients navigate some of the most challenging moments in their lives, whether recovering from cancer-related disfigurement or undergoing gender-affirming procedures. I also provide aesthetic services such as Botox, fillers, microneedling, and laser treatments to help people feel their best—no matter what season of life they’re in. It’s a privilege to support people through their healing and self-confidence journeys, and that purpose inspires all parts of my work.

My path hasn’t always been easy, especially learning to balance these different facets of my career and building a presence in a new industry. But embracing continuous learning, leaning on community, and staying true to my values have been key lessons. Ultimately, I want the world to know that my brand is about authenticity, empowerment, and using creativity and knowledge to make a meaningful difference.

Any places to eat or things to do that you can share with our readers? If they have a friend visiting town, what are some spots they could take them to?
If my best friend came to visit, I’d definitely start with hitting up one of the many boba shops in the San Gabriel Valley— Then I’d let them pick from all the amazing Asian food spots around here—I’ve got a bunch saved on my Yelp page that are total favorites and gate-kept.

We’d take a day to relax at a Korean spa, which is perfect for some serious self-care. Plus, the food court there has great lunch options. After chilling at home for a bit, we’d head out to support some local talent—most of my friends are creatives, so we’d probably catch one of their shows or events, maybe even drop into a dance class, or get some fun photos done with my photographer friends.

Of course, we’d wrap up the day with some classic LA street tacos and then grab something sweet nearby.

Who else deserves some credit and recognition?
I am deeply grateful to my friends, family, and especially my husband, whose unwavering support and encouragement have been foundational throughout my journey. Their belief in me has provided strength during both challenges and triumphs.

I would also like to acknowledge my mentors from my pre-PA days, whose guidance helped shape my early career, as well as my colleagues today who continuously inspire me to grow and excel.

Lastly, I want to recognize my therapist and myself for the dedication and resilience required to navigate personal growth and overcome obstacles. This journey of self-care and perseverance has been an essential part of my story, and I’m proud of the progress made.
