We had the good fortune of connecting with Amanda DeRemer and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Amanda, what was your thought process behind starting your own business?
My postpartum course was challenging to say the least. After a near-fatal delivery, an ICU stay, and 3 hospital readmissions, when I was finally cleared to workout I didn’t know where to begin. I have been an athlete my entire life and movement has been my therapy. As a new mom, traditional workouts felt out of reach and I felt mom guilt creeping in whenever I choose to take time for me.

I craved a way to move that felt intentional, realistic, and included my baby. I started sneaking in movement with my mini whenever I could – tummy time planks, stroller lunges, baby carrier squats, and even high chair barre. I finally started to feel and look like myself again while bonding with my baby.

It dawned on me that I couldn’t be the only mom who was desperate for accessible movement. While motherhood is full of trade-offs, your own wellbeing shouldn’t be one of them. Moms shouldn’t have to choose between taking care of their babies or themselves. Self care isn’t selfish. I’m dedicated to building a movement brand and a fitness community that supports modern moms.

Can you open up a bit about your work and career? We’re big fans and we’d love for our community to learn more about your work.
.Unlike traditional fitness classes that require childcare, The Stroller Edit is baby-inclusive. This approach allows the community of moms to connect with their bodies and each other while finding the joy of movement with their minis. Self-care is not a luxury, and it definitely shouldn’t come with “mom guilt.”

I’m building a practical, supportive space where moms can care for themselves and their babies, at the same time.
I want to empower moms to reclaim who they are, find a real community of supportive women, and experience the power of movement, all on their own terms – taking care of their physical and mental well-being without having to leave their kids behind.

Let’s say your best friend was visiting the area and you wanted to show them the best time ever. Where would you take them? Give us a little itinerary – say it was a week long trip, where would you eat, drink, visit, hang out, etc.
Moving back to Orange County was a very deliberate choice, especially after my challenging postpartum experience. I needed a place where I could genuinely integrate self-care into my daily life with a baby, and there is no place better for that than OC. Orange County is incredibly community-oriented, with a strong focus on families and being active outdoors.

This environment isn’t just a nice perk; it’s fundamental to my own well-being, and it’s the perfect backdrop for The Stroller Edit, enabling moms to easily connect with their bodies, their babies, and each other.

The Shoutout series is all about recognizing that our success and where we are in life is at least somewhat thanks to the efforts, support, mentorship, love and encouragement of others. So is there someone that you want to dedicate your shoutout to?
My daughter, Chloe, is my entire world and inspiration. Born with a strength beyond her size, Chloe is a NICU graduate who lights up the world and brings sunshine wherever she goes.

The incredible community of moms who have embraced The Stroller Edit from the very beginning. Their enthusiasm and shared stories have transformed a simple idea into a supportive movement. I’m building this community for them.
