Meet Jasmin Lemus | Real Estate agent, Wedding Minister & Life Agent

We had the good fortune of connecting with Jasmin Lemus and we’ve shared our conversation below.
Hi Jasmin, how has your work-life balance changed over time?
As long as I can remember, I’ve been a risk taker in ways that I believe will benefit my family and I or my vision. As a mother of 5 with a bachelor’s degree I didn’t want to be tied down to one source of income in corporate life. I wanted to be the one in charge of my own schedule and life. So I took the risk of letting go of all corporate career opportunities and took advantage of the opportunities that I have access to and have interests in. Being a Hispanic woman in the land of opportunity has allowed me to be ambitious and confident enough to succeed and go for what I desire without limits. Hence the reason why I have been able to become my own boss and an entrepreneur in three fields; as a licensed Real Estate agent, licensed Life Insurance agent and licensed Wedding Minister. I hope my children can learn from me and never limit themselves to only one source of income or one dream. There’s an abundance for all who want to be successful and make dreams come true. Life is too short and if you are physically and mentally able to do more, go for it!

Can you give our readers an introduction to your business? Maybe you can share a bit about what you do and what sets you apart from others?
I wear many hats, I’m a mother of 5, wife, and balancing three businesses. My roles are real estate agent, life insurance agent and wedding minister. I’d be lying if I told the world, it’s a piece of cake. It’s not, every day is different and every client is unique. Balancing it all doesn’t come naturally, but with God constantly taking my wheel it has been possible. What sets me apart is the drive and passion I have for each profession, it has sparked a side of me I didn’t know existed within me, to guide, educate and lead others. Call me “The Circle of Life” -(LOL) I can officiate your marriage, help you find your dream home, and set you up with the best possible life insurance policy to protect your loved ones. Helping and serving others comes naturally when I know I am needed and it makes me feel good not in a prideful manner, but more in being of service to others. It’s satisfying. Of course I know I cannot be of assistance to everyone but for those who choose me in finding their forever home or selling their property, navigating through different life policies to find what best suits my clients and their families, and to hearing I Do’s from couples committing to one another, is my passion and I will go above and beyond to make sure my clients are taken care of and feel secured under my wings. I am most definitely proud of myself for getting out of my comfort zone and opening up to total strangers that become trusted clients. I’ve come this far by focusing on each career and learning as I go. It hasn’t been easy but I am doing my best and also reaching out to mentors who’ve been more seasoned in the fields. I’ve learned to be patient with myself and my clients. I’ve learned that sometimes many “No’s” can soon turn into “Yes’s” and that one Yes! from one client can change my mood and ambition to keep going. I’d like for the world to know me as a go-getter, a mother and wife that isn’t only doing it for the money but to also serve others and be a source of inspiration to other women. After all, the sky is the limit!

If you had a friend visiting you, what are some of the local spots you’d want to take them around to?
My itinerary would definitely consist of an early hike on the hills of Fullerton near Ralph B. Clark Regional Park in Orange county. Followed by a tasty breakfast and morning coffee at Porto’s in Buena Park. It has the best pastries and breakfast burritos and their fast customer service is excellent. Mid day can involve a delicious treat at La Michoacana in La Mirada and we can finish the night in Uptown Whittier where the girls are prettier either by having a delicious dinner at Rokka Grill and Whiskey Bar or simply strolling the streets of uptown Whittier to people watch. If the night is young, we’ll make our way to Griffith Observatory to enjoy the views of DTLA’s lit up skyscrapers.

The Shoutout series is all about recognizing that our success and where we are in life is at least somewhat thanks to the efforts, support, mentorship, love and encouragement of others. So is there someone that you want to dedicate your shoutout to?
It definitely has taken a village to be where I am today with the help of my mother, my kid’s grandmothers, aunts and of course my # 1; my husband. He has been my greatest supporter in all my risk taking endeavors. He’s my right hand and back bone. I am beyond blessed to have him by my side.
