Meet Geobirttie Wise-Odugu | I’m Geobirttie Wise-Odugu, a creative entrepreneur and advocate for self-love and confidence.

We had the good fortune of connecting with Geobirttie Wise-Odugu and we’ve shared our conversation below.
Hi Geobirttie, what do you think makes you most happy? Why?
What truly makes me happy is seeing people feel confident, beautiful, and seen. Whether it’s through Love Your Body By Gigi or Brushes and Strokes by Chyrell. My greatest joy comes from helping someone embrace who they are, inside and out.
There’s something powerful about watching a woman put on a pair of handcrafted earrings and stand a little taller, or seeing someone light up after experiencing artistry that makes them feel valued. Happiness for me is rooted in impact. It’s in the smiles, the thank you messages, and the quiet moments when someone says, “I feel good about myself.”
I’m also deeply fulfilled when I’m creating. Designing, crafting, and expressing beauty through art brings me peace. It’s more than business, it’s my ministry and my purpose. When my creativity connects with someone else’s confidence, that’s where my happiness lives.
Above all, I’m happiest when what I create uplifts others. That alignment between passion, purpose, and people is what truly fills my heart.

Alright, so let’s move onto what keeps you busy professionally?
My art is all about transformation. Whether I’m designing handcrafted pieces for Love Your Body By Gigi or creating beauty through Brushes and Strokes by Chyrell, my work is about more than aesthetics, it’s about how people feel. I don’t just create products or apply makeup; I create experiences that restore confidence and remind people of their worth.
What sets me apart is intention. Every detail, every brush stroke, every design is done with care and purpose. I see art as ministry and empowerment combined. I’m most proud of the impact, when someone looks in the mirror and sees themselves differently, or when a customer tells me they feel bold, beautiful, and confident because of something I created. That never gets old.
My journey professionally has been faith-driven and self-built. It was not easy. It still isn’t. There were seasons of doubt, limited resources, balancing family and vision, and learning business through trial and error. I overcame challenges by staying consistent, trusting God, investing in my growth, and refusing to quit, even when progress felt slow.
Along the way, I’ve learned that comparison is a distraction, consistency beats perfection, and purpose will carry you when passion feels tired. I’ve learned to embrace my uniqueness instead of trying to fit into trends.
What I want the world to know about me and my brands is this: I create from a place of authenticity and heart. My story is one of resilience, faith, creativity, and confidence. I’m not just building businesses, I’m building spaces where people feel seen, valued, and beautifully themselves.

Let’s say your best friend was visiting the area and you wanted to show them the best time ever. Where would you take them? Give us a little itinerary – say it was a week long trip, where would you eat, drink, visit, hang out, etc.
If my best friend were visiting for a week, I’d curate a Bay Area experience that blends beauty, culture, flavor, and music.
We’d begin with the coast, morning views at Baker Beach with the Golden Gate Bridge in the distance, followed by a scenic escape to Half Moon Bay. For a little nostalgia and fun, we’d spend an afternoon at the iconic Santa Cruz Beach Boardwalk.
Oakland would absolutely have its own spotlight. We’d stroll through Jack London Square, take in the beauty around Lake Merritt, and soak up the city’s creative energy. One evening would be reserved for live music at Yoshi’s Oakland, there’s something special about great food paired with intimate, soulful performances. If the timing is right, we’re also catching a Golden State Warriors game for that electric Bay Area crowd experience.
Dining would be part of the adventure: brunch at Kitchen Story, comfort food at Brenda’s French Soul Food, and a waterfront dinner at Waterbar. And of course, a sweet stop at Fenton’s Creamery.
For inspiration, we’d explore de Young Museum and Museum of the African Diaspora, allowing art and culture to pour into us.
And one special evening or two, would be spent at my home, hosting, cooking, playing music, and creating space for laughter and meaningful connection. This truly would trump everything else. LOL

The Shoutout series is all about recognizing that our success and where we are in life is at least somewhat thanks to the efforts, support, mentorship, love and encouragement of others. So is there someone that you want to dedicate your shoutout to?
My first shoutout belongs to God. He is the author of my story and the source of my strength. Everything I create flows from the grace He’s placed on my life.
I’m also deeply grateful for my supporters. Every purchase, service ordered, share, and word of encouragement reminds me that this journey is bigger than me.
And my husband Mr. Lovely Odugu. He is my quiet strength. His love and unwavering support gives me the confidence to build, create, and dream without fear. He challenges me and pushes me to be greater. It doesn’t hurt that he loves my work and products. Lol
