We had the good fortune of connecting with Laura Romanov and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Laura, is your business focused on helping the community? If so, how?
Absolutely.

For me, art is one of the most subtle and powerful ways to influence society. It doesn’t push or impose — but it has the ability to change people from within, through emotion and through connection with a story.

Every film, every story, every piece of work leaves something behind. Sometimes it happens almost invisibly, but those are the moments when thoughts, decisions, and perspectives begin to shift.

That’s exactly why I chose cinema and this industry — as a way to speak to people about what truly matters, in a language that is gentle, yet deeply impactful.

In that sense, my work is directly connected to how people feel, understand, and support one another.

Can you give our readers an introduction to your business? Maybe you can share a bit about what you do and what sets you apart from others?
There are three things without which neither I as a creative producer, nor my company, would exist.

First — people.
I believe everything starts with communication. What once began as a professional collaboration with an actor grew into a long-term creative partnership and the joint development of projects.
Working with people who share not only a professional level, but also values, is what allows ideas to become something real and sustainable.

Second — belief.
Building an international career in film, across different countries, systems, and languages, sounds ambitious. But I’ve never really asked myself “can I do it?” — I’ve always asked, “how can I make it work?”
I believe that strong intention combined with consistent action can make almost anything possible — even when the result isn’t immediately visible.

Third — discipline and balance.
I often joke that Liora Creators works 24/7 — and it’s true, because for someone in our network, it’s always daytime.
To manage processes like that, I had to build a very specific structure around how I work. I’ve shaped my days and nights in a way that allows me to stay connected with partners and keep projects moving forward.
Discipline and clarity in structure are what help me maintain balance and avoid burnout.

I’m proud that together with my partner at Liora Creators, actor and producer Anton Krasavin, we’ve built a creative environment where projects, people, and ideas develop in parallel.
We work with actors, directors, and producers, support them professionally, and create projects that are not only about what happens on screen, but about what stays with a person after. Mental health is a natural part of the environment we are building.

At the core of Liora Creators is a simple idea: people need people.
Especially in creative industries, where the work is deeply personal. Having a space where you are understood, supported, and challenged to grow truly makes a difference.

I don’t see this as just a business.
It’s something I’m building around meaning, strong collaboration, and long-term impact.

If you had a friend visiting you, what are some of the local spots you’d want to take them around to?
Of course — Malibu Beach.
It’s something very personal to me. We have our own little secret.

One day, on my birthday, I sent a handwritten letter to the ocean with my wishes. And somehow, one by one, they’ve been coming true. I hope that magic keeps working.

I can’t really explain it, but for me, it’s probably the most magical place in the world.

Who else deserves some credit and recognition?
I’d love to give a shoutout to my partner, Anton Krasavin, and the entire Liora Creators team that I’m building these projects with.

To people for whom creativity is not just a job, but a way to speak to the world. There’s something powerful about working with those who are not only strong professionally, but also deeply connected to why they do what they do.

And probably a separate shoutout to everyone who chooses care. To those who, at some point, pause and decide not to walk past. Because it’s exactly from those choices that the most important stories are born.
