We had the good fortune of connecting with Martha “ Marlet” Sanchez and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Martha “ Marlet”, is there something that you feel is most responsible for your success?
The most important factor in my photography business has always been God. He is truly at the center of everything I do. I believe the creativity, vision, and gift I carry were entrusted to me by Him, and I never want to shy away from giving Him the credit He deserves.

Early on, I was told that mixing business with my faith could be costly that not everyone would share the same values or beliefs. And while that may be true, I’ve learned that my business was never meant to be “one size fits all.” The right clients, the right opportunities, and the right connections have always found me, and I truly believe that’s because God has guided my path.

My faith influences the way I serve people, the way I connect with my clients, and the heart behind every session I photograph. More than creating beautiful images, I want people to feel seen, valued, and cared for. Staying grounded in my beliefs has not limited my business it has shaped it into something meaningful and authentic.

Alright, so let’s move onto what keeps you busy professionally?
As a faith-filled creative, my work is deeply rooted in purpose, connection, and storytelling. Photography has never been just about capturing beautiful images for me it’s about preserving emotions, seasons of life, and moments people never want to forget.

Getting to where I am professionally was not easy. Like many creatives, I faced moments of self-doubt, comparison, burnout, and wondering if I was capable of sustaining a business while staying true to who I am. There were seasons where growth felt slow and moments where I questioned whether openly sharing my faith in my brand would limit opportunities. But over time, I learned that authenticity will always attract the right people. I stopped trying to fit into what everyone else was doing.

One of the biggest lessons I’ve learned is that success means nothing if you lose yourself trying to achieve it. Staying grounded in faith, serving people well, and creating from a genuine place has brought me more fulfillment than chasing trends or validation ever could.

Who else deserves some credit and recognition?
First and foremost, my biggest shoutout goes to God. Every opportunity, every creative vision, every connection, and every open door in my journey has been because of His grace and guidance.

I also want to dedicate a huge shoutout to my husband. Behind every long editing night, early morning session, stressful season, and big dream, he has been my constant support system. He has encouraged me when I questioned myself, celebrated every win with me, and reminded me to keep going even during difficult moments. Building a business can be demanding, but having someone who genuinely believes in you makes all the difference. His love, patience, and support have been an important part of my story and success.
