Hi Benedictar, why did you pursue a creative career?
I pursued a creative career because it’s the one space where I feel most aligned with who I am. Creativity has always been my way of expressing emotion, telling stories, and connecting with people beyond words. Whether through fashion, content creation, or modeling, I get to turn ideas into something tangible and inspiring.
What drew me in even more is the freedom—there are no limits to how you can evolve, reinvent yourself, and leave your mark. For me, it’s not just about creating beautiful visuals, it’s about creating moments, feelings, and impact.

Alright, so let’s move onto what keeps you busy professionally?
As a professional model and brand ambassador, my art lies in storytelling through visuals. I don’t just wear clothes or promote products—I bring them to life. What sets me apart is my ability to blend authenticity with elegance, creating content that feels both aspirational and relatable. I’m very intentional about the brands I align with, making sure every collaboration reflects my personal style and values. My journey hasn’t been entirely easy. Like many creatives, I have faced moments of doubt, comparison, and the pressure to constantly evolve in a fast-paced industry. But I’ve learned to turn those challenges into growth. Consistency, self-belief, and staying true to my identity have been key in building my career. I’ve also learned that rejection is not failure—it’s often redirection toward something more aligned.
What I’m most proud of is how I’ve been able to build a brand that feels genuine. From working with beautiful brands to creating content that resonates with my audience, every step has been intentional and meaningful. I am excited about the endless possibilities ahead—expanding my reach, collaborating with more global brands, and continuing to inspire others to embrace their individuality. At the core of it all, I want the world to see me as more than just a model—I’m a creative, a storyteller, and a woman building a legacy through passion, purpose, and authenticity.

Let’s say your best friend was visiting the area and you wanted to show them the best time ever. Where would you take them? Give us a little itinerary – say it was a week long trip, where would you eat, drink, visit, hang out, etc.
If my best friend was visiting Johannesburg for a week, I would give them a mix of culture, good food, and a little glam. We would start with a soulful day at Maboneng Precinct for art, markets, and brunch, then explore history at Apartheid Museum. Midweek calls for a nature reset at Walter Sisulu National Botanical Garden, it’s peaceful and grounding. For nights out, I would probably take them to Sandton City and nearby rooftop spots for a taste of the city’s luxe energy. We would end the week with a fun day in Soweto, good vibes, amazing food, and real South African spirit. Simple, vibrant, and unforgettable.

The Shoutout series is all about recognizing that our success and where we are in life is at least somewhat thanks to the efforts, support, mentorship, love and encouragement of others. So is there someone that you want to dedicate your shoutout to?
I would love to dedicate this shoutout to my biggest pillars—my mom, dad, and my siblings. They believed in me long before I believed in myself. They saw my potential, nurtured my dreams, and constantly reminded me that I was meant to become exactly who I am today. For that, I’m endlessly grateful and truly blessed to have them in my life. I would also like to extend my appreciation to some incredible brands that have been part of my journey. Foxy Sleepwear has been such a beautiful collaboration—their luxurious satin pieces are not only stunning but feel incredible on the skin. We’re creating magic together, and I’m so proud to be aligned with a brand that embodies elegance and comfort.
A special mention to TOMS South Africa, a brand that perfectly blends comfort, style, and purpose. Their shoes are made for everyone, for everyday wear, and their commitment to giving back makes every step even more meaningful.
And lastly, Al Khair Honey—a brand I genuinely love. Their raw, organic honey is pure in its truest form, adding that perfect touch of natural sweetness to everyday moments. Each of these people and brands has played a role in my story, and I’m so grateful for the love, support, and opportunities along the way.
