We had the good fortune of connecting with Ariel Walker and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Ariel, how do you think about risk?
Taking risks has played a major role in my life and career. I believe growth happens when you step outside of your comfort zone and pursue opportunities that challenge you. One of the biggest risks I’ve taken was pursuing acting later in life while balancing other professional responsibilities. There were no guarantees of success, but I knew I would regret not trying.

Throughout my journey, I’ve learned that calculated risks often lead to the greatest rewards. Whether it’s auditioning for a role, investing in professional headshots, taking acting classes, or putting myself in situations where I might fail, every step has helped me grow both personally and professionally.

I’ve also learned that rejection is part of the process. Instead of seeing setbacks as failures, I view them as opportunities to learn and improve. Taking risks has taught me resilience, confidence, and the importance of believing in yourself even when the outcome is uncertain.

Looking back, many of the best opportunities in my life came from taking a chance on myself. That’s why I encourage others not to let fear stop them from pursuing their goals.

Can you open up a bit about your work and career? We’re big fans and we’d love for our community to learn more about your work.
My journey as an artist has been anything but traditional. Before pursuing acting professionally, I spent years building a career in law enforcement and fitness. Those experiences taught me discipline, resilience, leadership, and how to connect with people from all walks of life. What sets me apart as an actor is that I bring real-world experience into every role I take on.

I’ve always had a passion for entertainment, storytelling, music, and performance, but for a long time acting was something I pursued around my career and family responsibilities. Recently, I made the decision to invest in myself, obtain professional headshots, pursue representation, and fully commit to growing as an actor. That decision has opened doors to new opportunities, auditions, and creative projects that continue to push me outside my comfort zone.

The journey has not been easy. Like many artists, I’ve faced self-doubt, rejection, and the challenge of balancing multiple responsibilities while chasing a dream. What helped me overcome those obstacles was staying consistent, continuing to learn, and refusing to let setbacks define me. Every audition, every class, every opportunity is a chance to improve and grow.

What I’m most proud of is that I’ve never stopped pursuing growth. Whether it’s helping others through fitness, being a father, or stepping in front of a camera, I believe in giving my best effort and continuing to evolve.

If there’s one thing I want people to know about my story, it’s that it’s never too late to pursue something you’re passionate about. Your path doesn’t have to look like everyone else’s. Success comes from showing up, doing the work, and believing in yourself even when the outcome isn’t guaranteed.

Let’s say your best friend was visiting the area and you wanted to show them the best time ever. Where would you take them? Give us a little itinerary – say it was a week long trip, where would you eat, drink, visit, hang out, etc.
If my best friend was visiting Los Angeles for a week, I’d want them to experience both the famous attractions and the hidden gems that locals enjoy. One of my favorite activities is horseback riding through the hills and trails around Los Angeles. It’s a great way to enjoy the outdoors and see a different side of the city.

For food, I’d definitely take them to Fixins Soul Kitchen in Downtown Los Angeles. The food is amazing, the atmosphere is welcoming, and it’s one of my favorite places to bring people who are visiting for the first time.

We’d spend a day exploring Santa Monica and walking along the pier, then head down to Huntington Beach or Newport Beach to enjoy the Southern California coastline. I’d also take them to Griffith Observatory for the incredible city views, especially around sunset.

Another must-see would be Catalina Island. It’s one of the most unique places in Southern California and feels like a vacation within a vacation. We’d spend time exploring the island, enjoying the waterfront, and taking in the scenery.

For entertainment, I’d take them to a Dodgers game, a live concert, or a comedy show in Los Angeles. The city has so many talented performers and unique experiences happening every night.

To finish the trip, we’d visit Downtown Disney, enjoy some great food, and spend time people-watching and taking in the energy of Southern California. What makes Los Angeles special to me is that no matter what you’re interested in—food, entertainment, outdoor activities, sports, beaches, or the arts—there’s always something exciting to discover.

Who else deserves some credit and recognition?
I would dedicate my shoutout to my daughters. They have been one of the biggest sources of motivation in my life and remind me every day why hard work, perseverance, and character matter. No matter how challenging life gets, they inspire me to keep pushing forward and to be the best version of myself.

I would also like to recognize the people who have believed in me along the way. From friends who have supported my goals, to mentors who have offered guidance, to those who encouraged me to step outside my comfort zone and pursue opportunities in acting and entertainment. Success is never a solo journey, and I am grateful for everyone who has invested their time, wisdom, and support into my life.

Most importantly, I believe in paying that support forward. If I’ve learned anything, it’s that a few words of encouragement or someone believing in you can change the course of your life. I’m thankful for those who did that for me, and I hope to do the same for others.
