We had the good fortune of connecting with Nar Abadian BSN, RN. and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Nar, what do you attribute your success to?
The most important factor behind my success is trust — and trust can’t be bought or manufactured. I built Bae & Beau Aesthetics entirely on word-of-mouth, which means every client sitting in my chair came because someone they loved vouched for me. That doesn’t happen when you’re chasing revenue. It happens when you’re genuinely invested in the person in front of you.
I’m a nurse first. When I look at a face, I’m not thinking about what I can sell — I’m thinking about what’s actually going on. Why are the lips deflating? Is the hollowing from weight loss? What’s driving the fatigue under the eyes? My job is to find the root of the challenge, not just fill it and move on.
What gives me the most gratification is knowing that the women who come to me are often going through real life transitions — hormonal shifts, weight changes, aging, loss of confidence. And in some small but meaningful way, I get to be part of that turning point. When someone looks in the mirror and finally sees themselves again — that’s the work. That’s why I do this.

Can you give our readers an introduction to your business? Maybe you can share a bit about what you do and what sets you apart from others?
What sets Bae & Beau apart isn’t a technique or a product — it’s the relationship. When someone sits in my chair, I want to know what’s actually going on in their life. Are they stressed? Are they finally, after years of pouring into everyone else, giving themselves permission to be taken care of? That context matters clinically and personally. Some of my best moments in this business aren’t about the filler — they’re about the laugh we shared, the political rant, the random video that had us both crying. That camaraderie is the secret ingredient.

Building this practice was the hardest thing I’ve done. In a world where an injector exists on every corner, standing out means more than good technique — it means being consistent, being visible, and being willing to say no. No to treatments that don’t serve the patient. No to opportunities that don’t align with the practice.

Understanding your own limits isn’t weakness — it’s how you protect the integrity of everything you’ve built.
What I want people to know about me is simple: I am as raw as it gets. When you sit in my chair, I will treat you like my sister. I will tell you exactly what will get you to your aesthetic goals — and I will also tell you when to stop, because you are beautiful and we are all just doing our best. More filler and dramatic changes are not my cup of tea. It’s subtle tea — with a hint of charisma behind the eyes.

If you had a friend visiting you, what are some of the local spots you’d want to take them around to?
A Week in the South Bay with Nar- Ha!

If my best friend was flying in, I wouldn’t take her to the tourist traps. I’d take her to my LA — the South Bay version, where the sky is always sunny, the drinks are always good, and the vibe is always right.

Day 1 — Adult Day at Terranea
We’re starting with a full day in Terranea. Bar, pool, ocean views, good food, great conversation. No agenda, no rushing. Just two friends catching up with cocktails in hand and the Pacific in the background. This is the reset day.

Day 2 — The Strand & Manhattan Beach
Morning walk or bike ride along the Strand — one of the most underrated things you can do in LA. We’d pedal our way toward Manhattan Beach and end up at Esperanza for cocktails with a view. Then dinner at Izaka-Ya by Katsuya for some of the best sushi in the South Bay. Simple, perfect evening.

Day 3 — The Fox Den
This one is non-negotiable. If you visit me and we don’t end up at The Fox Den, did you even come? Amazing craft cocktails, a DJ that actually knows what they’re doing, and an atmosphere that just hits. This is the night you’ll be talking about on the flight home.

Day 4 — The Massage, Torrance
Every good trip needs a recovery day. I’d take her to my little hidden gem — The Massage in Torrance. Adorable inside, incredibly talented therapists, and the best massage you’ll find in the South Bay without paying Rodeo Drive prices. Your body will thank you.

The Honest Truth
The South Bay doesn’t scream and shout like the rest of LA — and that’s exactly why I love it. It’s laid back, it’s beautiful, and if you know where to go, it’ll spoil you quietly.

The Shoutout series is all about recognizing that our success and where we are in life is at least somewhat thanks to the efforts, support, mentorship, love and encouragement of others. So is there someone that you want to dedicate your shoutout to?
My biggest shout out goes to my husband. Owning a business is not glamorous — it’s long hours, hard decisions, and a constant juggling act. Coming from an Armenian family where being present is everything, where family is the foundation of who you are, his support means the world to me. He gives me the space to go all in on my work and still come home and be fully present as a wife and a mother. That balance doesn’t happen without him.

And then there are my patients — who somewhere along the way became my people. These women see me. They see a mom, an entrepreneur, a woman trying to wear every hat at once — and they don’t just understand it, they champion it. The friendships I’ve built inside these four walls are ones I’ll carry forever. They show up for me the same way I show up for them, and that means everything.
