We had the good fortune of connecting with Jonty Pretzer and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Jonty, we’d love to hear more about how you thought about starting your own business?
Since graduating from University I have been studying the gap between green technologies and potential customers. I noticed that the commercial real estate sector is well served by owners-reps and managers of all types advising property owners of the potential pitfalls and opportunities of owning a given piece of property. Nonetheless, I noticed through our research and development that when it comes to homeowners, not the same level of attention is often given to residences.

Often properties are in need of upgrading not only for functionality but for increasing the value and comfort of the occupants. Our mission is to assist homeowners in getting the most out of their property by using our customized easy to answer questionnaire and guidance. We reduce customer frustration by providing design tips and tricks saving them time and money while promoting wellness and generational sustainability.

Alright, so for those in our community who might not be familiar with your business, can you tell us more?
I have been an entrepreneur and musician/artist for over two decades. Pretzer Green Consulting was created to demystify the process of living green. I first started out working with partners importing goods from Nepal and China for another company twenty years ago. Nevertheless, once I had a taste of startup life my passion for protecting our environment crept to the forefront of my attention.

I want to the world to know that Pretzer Green Consulting is a company that desires to show how easy it is to be green. We don’t want people to be taken advantage of by unscrupulous contractors or make bad design decisions. Getting ready to purchase a home, contact us first.

If you had a friend visiting you, what are some of the local spots you’d want to take them around to?
Being from the South Bay and west LA, there are so many great places to check out in LA. When I have family in from out of town, I take them to Manhattan Beach and walk on the strand. I do a lot of cooking so eating out is rare. I enjoy cooking southwestern food and working out often.

Who else deserves some credit and recognition?
There are so many to thank including close friends and family over the years. Professors at University and many business partners who have helped me become who I am today. So many to thank, it would be difficult to name just one.
