Meet Anastasiia Redin | Founder of Moonveil Aerial

We had the good fortune of connecting with Anastasiia Redin and we’ve shared our conversation below.
Hi Anastasiia, what is the most important factor behind your success?
The most important factor behind my success has been the people who believe in the vision and choose to be part of it. Building a strong community is at the center of everything I do. I stay excited about the work, keep learning every step of the way, and focus on creating an environment where others feel inspired, motivated, and excited to grow together. When people feel connected to a shared goal, amazing things can happen.

Can you give our readers an introduction to your business? Maybe you can share a bit about what you do and what sets you apart from others?
Moonveil started with a single lollipop stage.
I bought one lollipop stage on May 2024, loaded it into my car, and took it to local parks around San Diego. I used to live in a small apartment so the stage wouldn’t ever fit and i had to take it to the park to train.
I taught private lessons outdoors and performed for friends simply because I loved it. At that time, I never imagined it would grow into what it is today.
The next step was collaborating with the “Little Yoga Studio” where I brought my lollipop stage together with my friend and began teaching classes. Little by little, more people joined, and the community started to grow.
Over time, I gathered a beautiful team of eight talented women who believed in the vision. We spent countless hours rehearsing together in my backyard. It wasn’t always easy. We trained during summer heat, under the rain, without mirrors, and often in a space that felt too small for our dreams. But we stayed together.
One thing we always say to each other is:
“We Moonveil – we never fail.”
It became our way of supporting one another through challenges and reminding ourselves to keep going.
As our team grew stronger, we began performing throughout Southern California. What started as backyard rehearsals turned into professional performances at weddings, corporate events, galas, festivals, and private celebrations. Today, Moonveil offers aerial gymnastics, aerial dance, LED performances, and fire shows, creating unique entertainment experiences for audiences of all kinds.
One of the most rewarding parts of this journey has been watching the team grow together. Many of the performers started as students, and through dedication, training, and countless hours of practice, they became professional artists.
Alongside teaching and performing, another passion began to grow: photography. It started very simply. After classes, I would take photos and videos of students so they could see their progress and celebrate their achievements. Soon I became fascinated with capturing aerial tricks and emotion through the camera. I invested in photography equipment and spent countless hours learning the best locations around San Diego.
What started as a few photos after class grew into organized aerial photoshoot adventures. We began traveling to incredible locations such as the Imperial Sand Dunes, Idyllwild, lavender farms, beaches, and mountains.
My dream is to begin hosting aerial retreats next year, combining my love for movement, travel, photography, and event planning into experiences for our community.
Today, I am incredibly proud to say that the doors of the brand-new Moonveil Studio will officially open on June 22, 2026.
This milestone would not have been possible without my amazing team, the support of our loyal students, my assistant Vika, and my husband, who have stood beside me every step of the way.
The greatest investment I have ever made has been in people. The people who surround me challenge me, support me, inspire me, and help make every dream feel possible.
Opening a studio is both exciting and challenging. As Moonveil continues to grow, I am learning how to balance leading a studio, building a community, teaching students, creating experiences, and managing a performance company at the same time.
The journey is far from over, but if there is one lesson I have learned, it is that great things are built together. Moonveil is not just a studio. It is a community created through passion, resilience, creativity, and the belief that with the right people around you, even the biggest dreams can become reality.
Today, that dream includes a performance company, a photography community, and a brand-new studio opening its doors on June 22, 2026.

If you had a friend visiting you, what are some of the local spots you’d want to take them around to?
San Diego completely stole my heart when I moved here in 2022. If my best friend were visiting for a week, I would skip most of the crowded city attractions and show them the outdoor adventures that made me fall in love with Southern California.
One of our first stops would be Coronado Beach for a morning walk and coffee. It is one of my favorite places to relax, watch the sunset, and enjoy the ocean.
For hiking, Iron Mountain and Potato Chip Rock are absolute musts. I have done both hikes many times with friends visiting from out of town. The views are incredible, the trails are fun, and they always make visitors feel like they experienced the real Southern California.
A trip to Julian would definitely be on the itinerary. I love the mountain atmosphere, small-town charm, fresh air, and of course the famous apple pie. It is one of my favorite places to escape for a day.
Sunset Cliffs is another place I never get tired of visiting. Watching the sun disappear over the ocean there is one of the most beautiful experiences San Diego has to offer.
La Jolla Cove is a must-see for anyone visiting the city. The coastal views are stunning year-round, but my favorite time is during puppy season when the baby sea lions can be seen along the shoreline. It is one of the most special wildlife experiences in Southern California.
Because photography is one of my passions, I would also take them to some of my favorite creative locations around the region. The Imperial Sand Dunes, lavender fields in Ramona, and the mountains around Idyllwild are some of the places where I have hosted aerial photoshoots and created unforgettable memories with students and friends.
What I love most about San Diego is that you can experience the ocean, mountains, deserts, forests, and countryside all within a short drive. There is always somewhere new to explore.
I am happiest outdoors, surrounded by nature, fresh air, and good company. While many people think of San Diego for its city life, my favorite part has always been the adventures waiting just beyond it.

Who else deserves some credit and recognition?
I’d like to give a shoutout to Danielle and Danny from Thirty Five Productions.
They are one of the most inspiring couples I know. You can truly see how much they love what they do. They bring great energy to every event, care about their clients, and always make people feel welcome and excited.
I also love how openly they share their knowledge and support others in the event industry. It’s always a pleasure working with them, and their positive attitude is contagious.
Thank you, Danielle and Danny, for being such a great example of doing what you love and helping others along the way.
