We had the good fortune of connecting with Ashleigh Taylor and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Ashleigh, is there something that you feel is most responsible for your success?
Hi Ashleigh, is there something that you feel is most responsible for your success?
I think the #1 thing that has led to my success has been the ability I have to just DIVE RIGHT IN when I want something. When I decide to go after something, I don’t waffle. I just go for it. I put my whole heart into it. I become obsessive. This can sometimes be a bad thing because I am not always cautious or weighing all the possible outcomes. But at the same time I know my ability to just go all in on something with enthusiasm has been my catalyst for success. If you are always waiting for the right time to make a move or the right time to pursue a dream, will it ever come? Does success just come knocking on your door saying “ok now it’s your time to shine?” I don’t think it does. I believe success comes to those with the courage to pursue exactly what they want and that is one area I really naturally excel at.

Can you give our readers an introduction to your business? Maybe you can share a bit about what you do and what sets you apart from others?
I help women feel confident on camera, in their business and in their lives. What started as a portrait business has become so much more. I help women get visible– whether that’s creating gorgeous imagery for them, coaching them on marketing & putting themselves out there in *their* business or finding clean beauty products to feel more confident in the day to day. My brand has expanded and evolved over time to fit my passions… and my passion is really all around helping women shine & stand up for more. Finding your voice and brand certainly doesn’t happen over night. It evolves with time. It unfolds in layers and reveals itself. As a business owner you grow a lot and so of course does your business vision. I think as business owners it’s important to constantly reevaluate the vision, the offerings, and to go with the flow of life.

If you had a friend visiting you, what are some of the local spots you’d want to take them around to?
For a fabulous time in Santa Barbara… you must go to the beach! You absolutely must stop for yummy food and wine in the funk zone (so many great places but my favorites are Lucky Penny, Loquita and Tyger Tyger). Stroll & shop on State St and definitely have a yummy dinner at Olio Pizzeria!

Who else deserves some credit and recognition?
Shout out to Julia Diane Whitley of SEJ Events for always being my biggest cheerleader in all my endeavors. https://www.sejeventproductions.com
