We had the good fortune of connecting with Koko Tabibzadeh and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Koko, as a parent, what have you done for you children that you feel has had the most significant impact?
I think the most important thing I have done as a parent is to be there for them. Once I became a mom, they became my first priority over anything else, be it traveling, going to parties, anything. I did have to work so unfortunately, I wasn’t a stay at home mom but it was simply because I had to work, but other than that they were and still are the most important part of my life.

Alright, so let’s move onto what keeps you busy professionally?
I volunteer with Foundation For A Drug-Free World, go to schools and give presentations to kids, train teachers, counselors and parents in using the Truth About Drugs materials. I also work with my husband who has a successful marketing company but the volunteer work is actually what really stands out for me as the main thing I do. I want to help and believe our value as human beings is in how much we help other people.

Any places to eat or things to do that you can share with our readers? If they have a friend visiting town, what are some spots they could take them to?
I would take them to a great Persian food restaurant in Glendale. Take them to Disneyland, Universal, go out to eat at fun restaurants on Melrose, Beverly Hills and Santa Monica and definitely drive by Malibu. I think exciting people and places are everywhere. You can go to the most fun place in the world, let’s say Paris and be bored to death so I think it is the person himself, their outlook on life and what they do that makes the place exciting and fun. I love traveling to Europe but then again it is who I travel with that would make it more fun and exciting for me. Put me in the middle of Rome all by myself and I would not like it at all. The most fun I have had in my travels have been the places I have gone with family reunions because again I believe it is the people you are with that make the trip or place memorable.

Who else deserves some credit and recognition?
Wow, there are many people I have to thank for this. First of course is my parents, my husband, my kids and my friends and family. While no family is perfect, I am very happy about the parents and the upbringing that I had. I believe what we become and who we are has a lot to do with who we associate with in life. Also the one organization that I have to thank that has helped me a lot in life, to know myself, to know people, to recognize different behaviors and where they stem from, how to overcome obstacles and who I really am is the Church of Scientology and all my Scientologist friends.
