We had the good fortune of connecting with Adolfo Girala and we’ve shared our conversation below.
Hi Adolfo, we’d love to hear more about how you thought about starting your own business?
When I started painting I had no idea it would turned out into a business. My thought process was truly enjoying the idea of creating and experimenting with my work. I am still very interested with the process of painting. The business fallows.
Let’s talk shop? Tell us more about your career, what can you share with our community?
My art is always changing. I am always thinking of different ways to create interesting work. I work with many pieces at a time. Some of this work has taken years to complete. I am always learning and forgetting and learning again. When I work on my paintings I try not to think too much but let the moment dictate whatever is happening. And there are really no mistakes but opportunities to explore.
Let’s say your best friend was visiting the area and you wanted to show them the best time ever. Where would you take them? Give us a little itinerary – say it was a week long trip, where would you eat, drink, visit, hang out, etc.
I would take them to the Self Realization Center in Malibu. It is a beautiful park where some of Gandhi’s ashes rest. I would take them for a ride through Sunset Blvd and we would go to the Hollywood Observatory to see the stars And then if my friend had any energy left we would end up in a club some where in Hollywood dancing to the stars
Shoutout is all about shouting out others who you feel deserve additional recognition and exposure. Who would you like to shoutout?
Everyone in my life has helped me move alone the pass. I am also specially bless to have my partner Michael Randall encouragement and support.
