We had the good fortune of connecting with Alexander Gibson and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Alexander, how did you come up with the idea for your business?
Mental Health and the awareness or lack there of it, has played a huge roll in my life and my family! There seems to have always been a looming sense of instability. For Lack of a better word most of us are Nutts! Myself possibly more than most. I was thinking back on my time spent in prison, and really thinking on the things that helped get me through! The one thing that was always present throughout my term was Art and Creativity. I have grown to understand that I was using my art to cope, endure, and even Heal without realizing it at the time! With this new found awareness I decided to start Going Nutts Entertainment as my way of raising awareness for mental health, centered around the healing power of the arts.

Can you open up a bit about your work and career? We’re big fans and we’d love for our community to learn more about your work.
I am an Artist in the purest sense of the word! I sing, I dance, I draw, I write, and much more in between! I truly Believe that everything is art, we as human beings are art in its purist form designed by something much greater than ourselves! I have been blessed to be allowed the privilege to create with some of the most talented artists in the world! I am an Actor! A most beautiful form of art and creativity! I have the honor of Showcasing and sharing my emotions with you all in my work! I started as a Production Assistant in the film industry and climbed from background to a recurring roll on The Showtime Series “The Curse” Trading lines with Two time Academy Award winning Emma Stone, and Nathan Fielder. My Most recent Project is the feature Film “Splash City” Directed By Alex Ferrufino, Written/Produced by David Mansanalez, Berner and 4ways Entertainment. I am also currently Showcasing A play at the Hollywood fringe Festival of “The Last Days Of Judas Iscariot” By Stephen Adly Gurgis Produced by Alex Alpharaoh and the No Fronts Acting Workshop & Cholavision Productions, with URA Casting, (From The Streets to The Set)

Any places to eat or things to do that you can share with our readers? If they have a friend visiting town, what are some spots they could take them to?
First things first I would find a show for us to go see, very heavy electronic music with many moshpits, possibly at the Hollywood Palladium, one of my favorite venues or maybe even an Insomniac festival Depending on the time of year! We would certainly have to go down to the beach and have a bonfire! We would have to go and eat at the best BBQ spot in all the land, ‘Smoke And Fire’. Then maybe go and see one of my teammates perform and introduce them to the team!
There is always something to support! I love going to DTLA and exploring hopefully we could find an art show and just take in the city!

Shoutout is all about shouting out others who you feel deserve additional recognition and exposure. Who would you like to shoutout?
I would love to shout out my Coach Alex Alpharaoh, and His wife Blanca Espinoza for there constant dedication and persistent pursuit of there dreams! There example as a unit is unparalleled, and the ways that they have helped me is immeasurable. My fearless Boss Lady Berenice Molina Valle, from the moment I met her I knew we would do great things in this life! Her Passion is without limitations, Her Determination is truly beautiful to witness! I am undoubtedly Blessed to have found myself in the company of these amazing individuals! Last but certainly not least my family and all the love they have given me through this life I would not be here without you!
