Hi Ali, can you walk us through the thought-process of starting your business?
I can spend my whole life saying what if or I can take a risk and make something happen for myself.
Can you open up a bit about your work and career? We’re big fans and we’d love for our community to learn more about your work.
Rowdy Kids is my life. I’ve been dedicated to this journey the last 3 years and love every part of it, the good and the bad. Everything I release may not always get the reaction or sales numbers I want but I continue to keep going and become more appreciative of my organically growing fan/customer base. Of course the journey isn’t easy but history shows success rarely is. Overtime I have learned the importance of reinvesting in the brand and the power of networking. Rowdy Kids is the streetwear brand of the near future and will be a staple in the industry.
If you had a friend visiting you, what are some of the local spots you’d want to take them around to?
I’m an introvert and homebody so I don’t venture out much but I do enjoy First Friday, spending time at Cobra Arcade and if you looking for some bomb chicken you have to hit Chicago Chicken Shack and get a 6 pc extra mild sauce.
Who else deserves some credit and recognition?
I am forever grateful to all the people who support Rowdy Kids from buying merch all the way to words of encouragement. The people who believe in what I do keep me going and inspired to drop dope merch.
