We had the good fortune of connecting with Alisa Walter and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Alisa, do you have some perspective or insight you can share with us on the question of when someone should give up versus when they should keep going?
I would say, that giving up is never really an option, however, taking a break is perfectly fine. Even when things get hard and you receive some pushback, I see it as an option to keep going and test your tenacity per say. If you have been given a dream or a vision, the only thing you can do is keep going because i do believe that we are the answer to another person’s problem or a nation for that matter.

Alright, so let’s move onto what keeps you busy professionally?
What sets me apart as a creative is still staying true to who I am while living in a culture that wants everything to happen quickly. As I’ve been on my journey of evolving and growing in more ways than one, I’ve been transparent about the things I’ve gone through and struggle with so I can help push someone else to keep going while encouraging and uplifting as well through my blog, Instagram, and Youtube channel. I wouldn’t say I’m exactly where I want to be career-wise, but I’m stepping into that path more and more each day. It absolutely hasn’t been an easy journey and I’d be lying to you if I told you otherwise. But a constant help throughout all of this has been God, and I know he’s been carrying me through every phase. Even during the times where I’ve had to endure a “waiting season”. What I’ve learned the most is to always be myself, and I do not have to conform myself to get an invitation to a table when I am the TABLE! I want people to know about my brand all over, “CHASING AFTER ZION”. I aspire to leave a legacy behind here on earth that people will remember even after I’m gone. you can be successful, young, and still love God and talk about him.

Let’s say your best friend was visiting the area and you wanted to show them the best time ever. Where would you take them? Give us a little itinerary – say it was a week long trip, where would you eat, drink, visit, hang out, etc.
Hmmm, this is a hard one being that Los Angeles is such an amazing place!

I’m a foodie so there are so many places to try but I’d say that one of my favorites is a Mexican restaurant called Sol. Literally, the food is amazing and the drinks are the bonus factor. Another restaurant I like to eat at is a place in china town called Golden Dragon, this is the only Chinese food I eat, and it has never failed me! Also, you cannot forget about the ELOTE!!!!! We have the best hands down, often imitated but never duplicated lol.

Every beach we have is amazing, and each one offers a different vibe of course. Santa Monica and Venice give a more friendly, vibrant atmosphere where you will literally see all types of different people be it artists, musicians, gymnasts, street performers, etc. So definitely one of the top touristy spots to visit.

Now, for all the people that want those aesthetically picture-worthy photos, the list is longgggg believe me. Hollywood, Downtown La, Beverly Hills, and those are just to name a few.

Cute rooftop bars, hookah, and great vibes can be found everywhere in the city for sure!

And you cannot forget about coffee. The best coffee shop I’ve been to is called Superba! Not only do they serve coffee and food, but there’s a full winery on the inside. So you can Mimosa it up and espresso at the same time.

Who else deserves some credit and recognition?
I would like to shout out everyone who has poured into me along my journey. Whether it be through reposting content via social media, taking the time to let me know that what I’ve written has helped them grow closer to God, left me encouraging messages, conversations that have pushed me to keep going, so on and so forth. I appreciate all of you.
