We had the good fortune of connecting with Alisson Rosales and we’ve shared our conversation below.
Hi Alisson, we’d love to hear more about how you thought about starting your own business?
I developed a passion for health and fitness over 24 years ago when my husband gifted me personal training sessions. After my first workout session, I was hooked! Having been transformed by this experience, I obtained my personal training certification and became a fitness trainer. Maintaining this lifestyle created a calling for me to inspire others and change lives. As a result, I decided to open Fit Body Boot Camp, Foothill Ranch in 2009. By owning and operating my own facility, it provided me the freedom and opportunity to inspire a lifestyle of health and fitness on my own terms. Because I have some very unconventional and progressive thoughts on achieving the best results possible, I am able to institute this within my program, with no obligations to any others on how this is achieved. This includes exercise, nutrition, endurance training and a unique culture, with my personal imprint. My passion is health and fitness and by starting my own business in this industry, it allows me to instill this same passion in others so that ultimately, this is passed on, not only from person to person, but from generation to generation. By operating my own gym, I can impart an extremely valuable lifestyle which provides an opportunity to leave a lasting legacy of health, fitness, happiness and longevity.
Alright, so for those in our community who might not be familiar with your business, can you tell us more?
Fit Body Boot Camp is an intense obstacle course training program designed to get anyone into incredible shape fast. We turn couch potatoes into athletes! That’s what sets us apart. Our program is designed to transform minds as well as bodies. We prepare anyone for that race they have not registered for yet. Whether they register or not, they will be prepared. And if racing is not their thing, then we will get them to reach their goals and push themselves to levels they never dreamed they would ever reach. Getting to this level has been an ongoing challenge and we have been hit with many obstacles. It has been a painstaking yet incredibly rewarding ride. We have learned to take on many challenges, to overcome whatever comes our way, focusing on the goal of inspiring fitness and changing lives everyday. My hope is that anyone who walks in the door senses my passion for health and fitness and that they are inspired to forge ahead and be resilient in all areas of life.
If you had a friend visiting you, what are some of the local spots you’d want to take them around to?
Having people come to visit me is always an exciting event, mainly because I love being with people and exposing them to my active lifestyle. I always try to take a visit from others as an opportunity to inspire health, fitness and a love for the outdoors. Since I am fortunate enough to live in sunny Southern California, a quick drive to the beach is always a popular destination for those coming to visit. This, by far, is my favorite place to visit first thing for a morning walk or run and to hang out and relax for the day. Being in the area, and since I absolutely love Poke, I would definitely visit a local Hawaiian seafood place called Kawamata in Capo Beach. The seafood is fresh and so delicious. Whiting Ranch and O’neill Park are in my own backyard and filled with so many outdoor trails to experience. Hiking or mountain biking through these rugged terrains provides a unique and challenging workout and endorphin boost with beautiful scenery. Such an amazing time to spend with someone special. Walking through the shops in San Clemente is another fun outing and place to hang out. Of course, I always look for healthy places to eat and would treat my guest to a meal at Active Culture for fresh organic food that fuels body and soul. And for a special treat, we would definitely have to visit the Bowlista Superfood Cafe in Foothill Ranch for an acai bowl , A massage would be a must at My 360 Massage to really unwind. The massage therapist, Sherry Weldon, offers a great session with invigorating essential oils for an unbelievably relaxing experience. And of course, just hanging out at my house watching movies by the fireside or soaking our bodies in our jacuzzi would provide a soothing relief and closure to our eventful days.
The Shoutout series is all about recognizing that our success and where we are in life is at least somewhat thanks to the efforts, support, mentorship, love and encouragement of others. So is there someone that you want to dedicate your shoutout to?
Shoutout to my husband for having the foresight to gift me with personal training sessions for Mother’s Day and always inspiring me to follow my passions.
