We had the good fortune of connecting with Allen Ashouri and we’ve shared our conversation below.
Hi Allen, what do you attribute your success to?
Execution. I feel like this gets overlooked the most, especially recently with the whole “entrepreneur” trend. I’ve learned how common great ideas are, but how rare it is to see someone take an idea and execute it to hit their goal. I credit a lot of EMRG’s success to execution. Our company culture is rare; we have like-minded and passionate individuals who are assertive in nature. We highly appreciate the “take initiative” behavior as everyone knows what they need to do, so we acknowledge and reward when people are doing a great job of getting the important things done. It always starts with a great idea, but success needs action. And, how effective your actions are lead to a higher quality of execution.
Can you give our readers an introduction to your business? Maybe you can share a bit about what you do and what sets you apart from others?
Our company, EMRG, is a digital marketing firm that is focused on increasing profitability for our clients through:
- Conversion-Focused Website Designs
- Google Ads/PPC
- Social Media Ads and Organic Content
- Reputation Management
- Email Marketing
- Onsite Filming
- and Branding
The way we operate is extremely unique. We’ve always made it a mission of ours to hire the best of the best, though our team dynamic and company culture is the x-factor. We work well together, make it a rule to understand both our clients’ goals as well as the project goals, and we love what we do. Everyone on our team actually cares about the end results. Think of how big of a difference this makes in the quality of the websites we design, the Google Ad campaigns we run, the social media content we create and put out for our clients, etc. This leads to constant evolution, improvements, and the strive to always do better. This is one of the core principles. Whenever we hear feedback from a client, we review together internally. How can we improve their experience? How can we obtain better results? How can we improve our workflow, our communication, and our service? These are the questions that shaped who we have become, and the direction we’re headed. It was not easy to get to this point of success in business. This took years of hard work, late nights, mistakes, fixing mistakes, bringing on the wrong people in the process to find the right people…. People often overlook this and see the highlight reel and expect things easy. Building your business is not always easy. But just because something is difficult doesn’t mean it isn’t fun or important. Staying focused on your end goal can help you through the more challenging phases.
EMRG is now in a position to make a big impact. We have many highly successful clients through our marketing initiatives, we are growing faster than we ever have, and we have come a long way from where we started. We are still sponsoring children through Childfund with each new client we take on, and plan for an even bigger 2021. A concept we often repeat in our office is “Hard Work + Time = Success .”
The Shoutout series is all about recognizing that our success and where we are in life is at least somewhat thanks to the efforts, support, mentorship, love and encouragement of others. So is there someone that you want to dedicate your shoutout to?
I’ve been extremely lucky to have my family’s support throughout the years, including my father, my sister, my cousins, and especially my mom. She taught me the meaning of work ethic through example. As a single working mother, I saw what it took to be successful. She always encouraged me to go out and get what I want out of life, reminding me that it is both achievable and that I deserve it.
My father has also played a large part in shaping the man I’ve become and my outlook on life. He challenged me to always think big, to always stay strong and positive; even through adversity. He and I are alike in the sense that we are visionaries, often seeing the potential in things before they exist. Having him help refine and train my mind and this ability has gotten me to where I am today.
Lastly, I’ve had a number of mentors over the years. I would not be where I am in life without them. From teaching me business fundamentals to maintaining the right ethics regardless of how much money is on the table. They have shaped the way I think and how I do business.
