We had the good fortune of connecting with Andrea Geresdi and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Andrea, what was your thought process behind starting your own business?
It was actually a dream, real dream. I woke up at 1;30 am and I shook my Husband up to tell him we have to build a Salt Cave. I was standing in the dream in a middle of a room full of salt, the room what is the actual Salt Cave today. Exact layout 6 months earlier than it was built, even the baches for the kids are in the same place as it was in the dream. Did not really had a so called business plan, never done anything like this, but this Cave was the first Salt Cave in the whole Country as well. We really dreamed it to reality with my Husband, and now its been 11 years and helping people to learn more about alternative therapies.

Can you open up a bit about your work and career? We’re big fans and we’d love for our community to learn more about your work.
The Salt Cave is an alternative healing center, in about 3500 square foot building, 8 treatment rooms. It is a very unique design throughout the whole facility. One can find all different levels of healings, from physical to mental or emotional. It is much easier if one understands the root cause of the disharmony in the body, what can be found with the body scan. Once it is discovered where the stagnation comes from, it can be addressed with herbal remedies, homeopathics. There are many different therapies being offered, as part of the detoxification and relaxation

Let’s say your best friend was visiting the area and you wanted to show them the best time ever. Where would you take them? Give us a little itinerary – say it was a week long trip, where would you eat, drink, visit, hang out, etc.
I’m a very outdoor person therefore my friends are similar interest. I would go to the Keys for sure and make it at least a 3 day trip, visit dry Tortuga. My friends love seafood, which is perfect on the Keys. I would take them to Everglades Wonder Garden in Bonita, lots of animals, including exotics as well, if the weather is too hot, there’s some incredible trees to give us shades. We can plan a day on the beach in Venice, its a beautiful and famous about all the shark teeth just laying in the sand. If we don’t feel driving the distance to Venice, we could stay in Naples, the beaches here are spectacular as well, without the shark teeth though. There’s quite of bit of choices on healthy eateries or juice places in Naples, we could get to any of them relatively within ten minutes, depending the type of environment we feel being around. We can sit outside hugged by old trees or just enjoy the A/C after the day being outside.

The Shoutout series is all about recognizing that our success and where we are in life is at least somewhat thanks to the efforts, support, mentorship, love and encouragement of others. So is there someone that you want to dedicate your shoutout to?
My Husband for sure, my Sister-in-law, great help to build the Cave, all artist work is belonging to her name, my Son Attila who is working at the office of Dr. Robert Morse, great alternative doctor, had one of my training was with him. The hungarian group of Biofeedback trainers, and the ND school in Indiana, with all their great teachers. My landlord who trusted my story to lease the building for all the salt involvement in the humid Florida, the clients who are keeping the Salt Cave going
