We had the good fortune of connecting with Anna Stavaridis, CCWS and we’ve shared our conversation below.
Hi Anna, have there been any changes in how you think about work-life balance?
Balance means having an equilibrium. For many years, I worked and studied very hard to get to where I thought I wanted to be with my career. Once I reached this achievement, I looked around and realized I did not have the fulfillment I was looking for and knew I needed to make a change. I needed a better equilibrium. By changing my career from years in corporate wealth management and starting my own business in wellness, I have been able to shift my balance to be in a better place for myself, family, friends, and community. Aside from taking care of yourself, being of service to others is one of the most fulfilling purposes I find in life. My work is now a part of my daily journey of gaining a more healthy lifestyle and helping others do the same. My priorities are more in line with what is most important in living my best life and making a difference in the lives of others. I believe this new-found balance is one I will enjoy for quite some time.
Can you give our readers an introduction to your business? Maybe you can share a bit about what you do and what sets you apart from others?
With a background in corporate America for so many years, I always felt there was a lack of appreciation towards my direct reports and peers. I wanted to have a solution for HR Directors and CFOs alike to bring wellness programs to any size business and improve employee’s work/life balance. Turns out – I became that solution! Once starting Meraki Fitness, we became WBENC designated and Certified Corporate Wellness Experts. I made it a point to include employee’s voices in our pre-event survey process. Our customized programs, workshops, and demonstrations are curated with their input, questions asked are answered, tools are given to solve specific problems, and their empowerment continues the return of investment made by their employer. Additional surveys are given after events to continue to customize the experience. Some of our workshops, wellness weeks, and happy hours include “How to Avoid Corporate Burnout”, Stretch & De-Stress at your Desk, yoga, meditation, financial health, mind/body, cooking demonstrations, and more! Now more than ever, we are here to be your partner in all your wellness planning! Additionally, as a lifetime fitness enthusiast, I love working with our Concierge Personal Training clients of all ages to focus on their goals to achieve their best lifestyle. Our elite trainers are ACE and NASM certified with experience in all forms of fitness specializations. Our yoga, Pilates, and other wellness arts professionals have expertise from world renown industry leaders. We are discrete and believe confidentiality and trust define us along with our customized programs based in science and math. We are goal focused and work with our clients every step of their journey, celebrating our micro-wins, and are there at the finish line! Our programs are all online and in person with proper PPE.
Who else deserves some credit and recognition?
I would love to give a shoutout to Yianni and Bella, my partners in this whole wellness journey. My family and friends have also been supportive, ultimately contributing to the strength necessary to dive into the entrepreneurial world. My community and Beverly Hills Chamber of Commerce have been strong partners in allowing me to share my vision with others and bring it to life. The Small Business Development Center (SBDC) is a fantastic information source for any small business starting up or wanting some fresh ideas.
