We had the good fortune of connecting with Ardree Merriweather and we’ve shared our conversation below.
Hi Ardree, any advice for those thinking about whether to keep going or to give up?
When you are passionate about something with talent, drive and determination, giving up is not an option. Of course, when things get difficult, or seem impossible ,the thought may enter your mind. However right at that moment, you must find that inner strength to keep going and remember that the goal is within reach. Surround yourself with genuine people who will guide, uplift and motivate you to greatness. There were many times I was afraid and wanted to give up but as I look back at my career, I’m so happy I didn’t give up. If I had , I would have missed out on so many amazing opportunities. Lastly, just because you fail doesn’t mean to give up , it means to get up and keep going until your craft is perfected.

Let’s say your best friend was visiting the area and you wanted to show them the best time ever. Where would you take them? Give us a little itinerary – say it was a week long trip, where would you eat, drink, visit, hang out, etc.
Anyone visiting Los Angeles has to experience the hiking trails to the Hollywood Sign and the beautiful hiking trails in Malibu that leads you to the very top over long looking the blue water of the Pacific. After a day of hiking, I love going to my favorite Sushi spot, Katsuya Hollywood. If you or a friend are looking for something with more great tasting food options North Hollywood Diner is the place to be especially after a night on the town club and bar hopping in West Hollywood.
Shoutout is all about shouting out others who you feel deserve additional recognition and exposure. Who would you like to shoutout?
It will take 100 books to describe the 3 amazing, strong and powerful women in my life who built the foundation in my career. First is my mother Valerie Merriweather, who is also a hairstylist. Since I was little I’ve always wanted to be a hairstylist and my mother supported that decision wholeheartedly, taking me to the salon and taught me the importantance of being a hard worker. She found many ways to prepare me for my future career path. Olettia Plater was more than my boss at the first salon I worked while in high school, but she is my amazing mentor who taught me about hair care, having a great bond with Clients and to be myself, and to not lose myself in the negativity of the world. And lastly, Ree Amore who has held my hand to guild me through the in and outs of this industry. I like to think of her as my hair mother. She motivates and pushes me to shoot for greatnesses. When you see me see you will see a piece of these three women.
