We had the good fortune of connecting with Arlene and Maché Griffin and we’ve shared our conversation below.
Hi Arlene and Maché, we’d love to hear more about how you thought about starting your own business?
Our children have been in the industry for a few years before taking our Photography business to the next level. We have always loved the arts and creating but a true push came when we started not only doing our children’s modeling portfolio but also their fellow models signed with their talent agency, DirectionsUSA. We saw a real opportunity to expand our business beyond a hobby and haven’t looked back since.
Can you open up a bit about your work and career? We’re big fans and we’d love for our community to learn more about your work.
Clients often say how well we work together as husband and wife. We’re an entire production team and get the job done no matter the challenge. What sets us about is clean, crisp, timeless images not effected by temporary trends or heavy filters. While there have been challenges and set backs along the way we feel like everything has happened in the order or way it did, for a reason. Our goals are not limited to just photography, but to expand to a creative group full of creative professionals that brands entrust with their image building and creative direction.
Any places to eat or things to do that you can share with our readers? If they have a friend visiting town, what are some spots they could take them to?
In a pre-covid world our idea of fun in exploring around our city, Charlotte, NC. We would go to uptown and walk the streets, trying the amazing eats the city has to offer.
