Meet Avith Miracle | Music Composer and Multi-Instrumentalist

We had the good fortune of connecting with Avith Miracle and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Avith, we’d love to hear about how you approach risk and risk-taking.
We have all heard the saying, if you dont step out of your comfort zone, you will never grow. This is especially true in the creative and artistic business, taking risks can improve one’s career opportunities and are almost always encouraged. Although there are specific trends and paths that have a good chance to become successful, they can’t assure success to all, thus the appeal for risks.
I am a very calculative person, and try my best to weigh the pros and cons of all my choices. This attribute made me reluctant to take risks. As a response, my parents pushed me to take a few risks in life, be it a leap of faith or thoroughly calculated risk. Only after taking a few risks did I realize the value of the lessons one can learn from the experience. Moving from Qatar to Los Angeles to pursue a career in the Music and Film Industry as a composer has been, no doubt, the biggest risk I’ve taken. Pursuing a career in the medical fields or stem would’ve brought me finaincial security and a clear path to success and my dream lifestyle, however it wasn’t what I wanted for my life. I want my work to reach a multitude of people and leave a positive mark. I have faith in my craft to know that one day, with a few more risks along the way, I will reach my goals and reaping the fruits of my work and effort.

Can you open up a bit about your work and career? We’re big fans and we’d love for our community to learn more about your work.
I am a Music Composer and Multi-Instrumentalist based in Los Angeles, California. I am currently pursuing my Bachelors in Music Composition and Film Scoring for Visual Media in Musicians Institute, Hollywood, California. I grew up in Qatar, a multi-cultural society which has had a significant influence in my music and taste. I adore exploring new musical styles and artists, especially ones with a deep cultural heritage. I find it amazing how people incorporate their culture, their perspectives and flourishes into their artistic work, which has always encouraged me to find my own unique voice that blends all my favorite aspects of different musical styles.
It has taken me a lot of dedication, time and effort to get to where I am now. I am quite satisfied with my progress and am motivated to push myself further. The challenges I have faced along the way have all taught me valuable life lessons and I am forever grateful for that. Working through my mental health, self esteem and confidence issues has been rough, but is definitely paying off.

If you had a friend visiting you, what are some of the local spots you’d want to take them around to?
Theres no better spot to start the trip than to visit the Pebble Beach via the scenic drive by the ocean and drive back to LA. Then a day trip to Topanga State Park followed by a meal with a scenic view at Cafe on 27. Getty Center, Rodeo Drive and Santa Monica are some of the fun touristy spots in LA that I enjoy visiting. Gold Burger on Los Feliz, Qaurters KBBQ in Korean Town, Leo’s Tacos Truck, Compelling Coffee and Boiling Crab are some of my favorite food spots in LA and will definitely make it on the itinerary. The Six Flags Magic Mountain in SoCal is by far my favorite theme park in California, so that will make the list as well.

Shoutout is all about shouting out others who you feel deserve additional recognition and exposure. Who would you like to shoutout?
I have to shoutout to the big fella upstairs, Jesus Christ. I’m also grateful for my parents who have been very supportive, my mentors Duy Tran, William Brumbach, Daniel Levin and Tom Villano for guiding me and my peers Joshua Gomez, Hank Lin and Yuko Zen. I would also like to extend my thanks to musicians and composers who have influenced me to take up music as my career.
