We had the good fortune of connecting with awfultune and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi awfultune, career-wise, where do you want to be in the end?
The end goal is always to be happy. I feel like no matter where my career goes, it’s really important for me is to stay grounded and live my life doing what I love. I forever want to be surrounded with good people and positive energy.

Let’s talk shop? Tell us more about your career, what can you share with our community?
I’m really proud of myself for always getting back up when I was knocked down. Nothing else really matters to me but my art. If I’m not helping people in their own journeys and creating a safe space for others then I feel like I’m not really doing my job. Something I’ve learned along the way is to not compare yourself to anyone. We are all super unique in our own way and I think the relatability of my lyrics and the ability to always be doing something different sets me apart from others.

The Shoutout series is all about recognizing that our success and where we are in life is at least somewhat thanks to the efforts, support, mentorship, love and encouragement of others. So is there someone that you want to dedicate your shoutout to?
I’d like to thank my mom for being my number one supporter in life. I’d also like to thank my lovely fans and team. Thank you for everything.
