Meet Ayçe Mısırlılar | Electrical-Electronics Engineer & Entrepreneur

We had the good fortune of connecting with Ayçe Mısırlılar and we’ve shared our conversation below.
Hi Ayçe, we’d love to hear what makes you happy.
First of all, thank you so much to Shoutout LA for featuring me for the second time, and a big thanks to Chris for reaching out.
I love being with my loved ones; I take great pleasure in spending an enjoyable and productive day with them, and in surprising and making people laugh. But I believe a person should also know how to be alone, spend time by themselves, and truly enjoy it. I think I can do that very well too.
When I am left alone with myself, I can’t spend even a single day idle. Even on my slowest days, my mind is always occupied; I always find something to research, to ponder, and to do. I don’t think I could stop this even if I tried—and honestly, I wouldn’t really want to. Of course, this can be challenging or even exhausting at times. Because occasionally all I need is to just sit back and rest, but then my mind starts generating new ideas for research and learning! Learning and self-improvement are like an addiction for me.
Therefore, without a doubt, I can say that one of the most important things that makes me happy is always having a to-do list in my hand, completing those tasks, and adding a new one under every item I finish. I also have many notebooks and planners. I love notebooks so much that I can’t stop myself from buying them whenever I see one. I love writing, too; I believe it’s one of the most permanent things.
I enjoy reflecting on the past. I often look back and think about how much progress I’ve made. Thinking about myself and evaluating my past, present, and future makes me happy. I reflect on what I have and feel grateful, and I think about what I wish to achieve. I see myself as a part of the universe, and the universe as a part of me.
I think a lot. People say that overthinking kills happiness, but I don’t believe that. To me, thinking is awareness, and the more you think, the more clearly you can see the truth. Sometimes truths can be heavy, but being aware is a blessing. Everything in life has a trade-off; just as you pay a price for being aware, you also pay a price for being unaware. And in my view, at the end of the day, thinking deeply leads to happiness—if you think enough… You can look at this idea both daily and metaphorically, and this quote perfectly supports it: “Der erste Trunk aus dem Becher der Naturwissenschaft macht atheistisch, aber auf dem Grund des Bechers wartet Gott”
I love who I am, and I know very well that I am truly happy when I can simply be ‘myself.’ What makes me feel most like myself is using my creativity, and I try to reflect this into almost everything I do. These are the things that make me happy. That’s why I always say: one of the greatest things a person can do for themselves is to get to know who they are. This is the key to life. A person who doesn’t know themselves or what they want won’t know what makes them happy either.

Can you give our readers an introduction to your business? Maybe you can share a bit about what you do and what sets you apart from others?
Well, I am the founder of an intellectual community platform, an artist, and an electrical and electronics engineer constantly developing myself in the automotive field. Intellerzone, one of my biggest ventures, is about to complete its first year and a half, and I am incredibly proud of it. Right now, I am in a highly intensive period of work; I am working on a next-generation dashboard for electric vehicles that integrates embedded systems (STM32), communication protocols (CAN), and interface design (Qt). In addition, I am also conducting studies on AI-based applications during this process. Because of this, I cannot dedicate much time to the platform or my hobbies, but this is just a temporary phase. I still attend seminars and summits; honestly, I am in an incredibly enjoyable period of my life. I mentioned being busy, but this period doesn’t really exhaust me because I am doing what I love. Doing what you love is, in my eyes, the absolute key to success—it is what pushes you ahead of people who do the exact same thing but without passion. I don’t consider myself ‘super successful,’ nor am I in a race with anyone—I never have been. I am solely focused on myself. If I can complete my to-do list, if what I do makes me happy, and if I can contribute something to my surroundings, humanity, and the world, that is enough for me. That was the exact motivation with which I founded Intellerzone. For me, it is not just a platform; it is one of the best ways to express myself. It is vital to me that everything I do reflects who I am, and I pay immense attention to this.
The same goes for art. Artists can be distinguished either by their style or by the unique traces they leave in their work. We are all unique, and what each of us does is specific to ourselves; it is even like this in coding—everyone has their own distinct style, just as a single problem can have multiple different solutions. Generally, those around me, especially the people I have worked with since my university years, know how seriously, meticulously, and diligently I approach every single task. I don’t think of myself as a rigid or perfectionist person because I am much more spontaneous and relaxed in my personal life. For instance, one day I can easily go out in sweatpants and slippers, completely uncaring of what anyone thinks; yet another day, I can’t bring myself to step outside without putting on makeup and carefully planning where I am going. But when it comes to work, I leave nothing to chance. Because you are bound to encounter plenty of unexpected obstacles along the way anyway, and that is already stressful enough. In engineering, there is an unwritten law: ‘If it ain’t broke, don’t fix it.’ If a flaw is hidden deep in the background, poses no safety risk, and is beyond immediate repair, you might choose to leave it be. However, when it comes to the parts that people actually see—the interface, the website, the user experience—we must adapt to the conditions but never compromise on quality. If I can spot a flaw on the surface, the user will surely see it too, and we simply cannot present it that way. That is exactly what it means to be a brand; it is the reason why people trust big brands more quickly. Yet, brand value is not something earned in a single day, though it can easily be lost in one.
Following a single path provides both a strong willpower and a sense of ‘order.’ In this regard, I find myself quite complex. Sometimes I come across talk show clips where people can give a single, definitive answer to a question almost without thinking, but for me, giving just one answer is impossibly difficult. This is perhaps why live interviews make me extra nervous, making me worry that I might express things incompletely. Maybe that’s also why, to me, a single question can have multiple answers. Sometimes I am just black, sometimes just white, sometimes gray, and sometimes I can be all the colors at once. I cannot feel like I belong to just one single place or thing. Sometimes, I catch myself wishing I could. To give a simple example, I admire people who listen to a single genre of music their whole life, turn it into a philosophy, and adapt it to their lifestyle, including the way they dress. Still, given that life is so volatile and human beings are constantly evolving, perhaps this trait allows me to adapt to changes more easily. If you have a profession directly related to technology, being dynamic is a must anyway. I can say that this quality helps me the most in my career. Furthermore, since Intellerzone is a global community platform, individuals from every nation and culture can gather under the same roof. Differences should naturally bring us together; I truly do not understand why some view it as a cause for division. We have so much to learn from one another. We certainly have plans for the platform to become more active in the coming periods, and of course, growing participation from the community directly impacts this. Together, we can achieve much more beautiful things.
Shoutout is all about shouting out others who you feel deserve additional recognition and exposure. Who would you like to shoutout?
First and foremost, I thank God for always being by my side. Next, I want to recognize myself; I appreciate the person I’ve become—the one who keeps going no matter what, who stands firm in their convictions, and who never stops believing in themselves. I also want to thank my family, who raised me and brought me to where I am today, and my friends, who have always supported me. Lastly, I am truly grateful for the difficult events I’ve faced and the toxic people I’ve encountered. Everything that makes me who I am is a whole, with both the good and the bad; and I believe we learn the most from our hardships. You ask for strength, and God gives you difficulties to overcome.
Recently, I saw a close-up photo of an old lion. Right on his forehead, between his eyes, there was a scar—likely from a wound sustained years ago. It was quite deep, so even though it had healed, the mark remained prominent. It was just one of his many life experiences. It made me feel how he remained strong and noble despite everything he had endured, and I felt immense respect for that. Isn’t a person’s most valuable treasure their lived experiences? While I love the pristine, perfect state of new things—especially books and notebooks—they actually mean nothing until the books are read and the notebooks are written in. Humans are the same; we came to this life to experience it, and at the end of the day, we must realize that everything we go through is meant to shape us into a better version of ourselves.
In my previous Shoutout LA interview, I had mentioned my role models, but I want to tell you about a very special and valuable person whom I had the chance to listen to and the honor of meeting just last week by attending the ‘National Technology Summit’: Murat Özpala. If you’ve heard his name through me, please don’t pass it by without researching; he will definitely shed light on your life. He is someone who inspires so much admiration with his determination, his stance, his joy of life, and his humility—he deserves much more recognition. I rarely cross paths with people who share such similar thoughts and worldviews, and this person is perhaps one of the most concrete, living proofs of what a human can achieve with just a dream, and how one can realize even the most extreme aspirations. As a Turk, it is deeply proud to have someone so devoted to their homeland and so successful; he is now one of the people I look up to the most, and at this point, I would also like to thank him.
