We had the good fortune of connecting with Ayla El-Moussa and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Ayla, what are you inspired by?
Nature, music and women. I grew up on a biodynamic farm in the west coast hills of Canada so nature has always been the place I go to when I need inspiration. The ocean being the most important element for me. Music of course just adds an incredible mood and soundtrack for the work I do. It’s very hard for my to create without music. Women, of course are just beautiful enigmatic creatures that make everything beautiful, so they also are a key role when I am looking for artistic inspiration.

Alright, so let’s move onto what keeps you busy professionally?
My work is a special hybrid of moving & still images. The inspiration and foundation being a combination of female form in nature. My aesthetic is very edgy, sexy but also transcendent and mediative, I am super excited about releasing these moving art pieces for purchase beyond social media or computer screen but to be hung on a special display in your house or office etc, and the works will be block chained which is sooo very exciting. I’m also very excited to be releasing my first coffee table book set- which will house all my deep psychological questions that I ask on my Sunday Poll- both sexual and personal questions to really help you get to know and understand who you are and what you like! It’s been a long road I always knew I was going to do something special and something creative that was never a doubt. The tricky part is believing in yourself and also finding the right people to help execute the vision. I think the biggest lesson is to be patient with yourself keep creating what makes you happy and knowing that you aren’t running anyone else’s race but your own. I really want to be known as the pioneer female artist of digital art work in the crypto/blockchain world as well as the woman who asks and created the most beautiful, helpful and sexy book of questions!

Any places to eat or things to do that you can share with our readers? If they have a friend visiting town, what are some spots they could take them to?
I would take you for a beautiful drive along Malibu and then up into the winding canyons – Tuna Canyon being a favorite- its a beautiful escape from the hustle of the city. We would stop for lunch at Nobu Malibu on the way down and then end for a sunset view and drinks in Soho House West Hollywood! There is such great nooks to visit and be inspired here, I love the Apparatus Design studio or Getty Villa or LACMA to get artistically nourished. And then food wise, Gratitude Cafe, Belcampo for the best lamb burger, Beaming for a healthy smoothie or anything at Croft Alley-

Who else deserves some credit and recognition?
Oh there are so many people I would love to shout out but I will stick with the five. Lucas Ighile, my life partner, my adventure partner and the man who has inspired me since I was 16. TwistedLamb aka Mary Lee, for her incredible vision and introducing me to Lucas. My sister Claya El-Moussa & brother Yakob El-Moussa who continue to awe me support my work and are continually there with words of encouragement. Last but not least my beautiful friend Jena Covello who is an absolute force and a someone who has helped me with confidence building.
