We had the good fortune of connecting with Bailey Onstad and we’ve shared our conversation below.
Hi Bailey, can you walk us through the thought-process of starting your business?
Originally, starting a buiness and turning ‘Organizing’ into a full-time career wasn’t on my mind at all! This is without a doubt my passion and seeing friends & families positive reactions after I would just help them with minimal things around the house is what sold me on starting the buisness. I have severe OCD, so my parents growing up were always pleasently suprised to come home to almost everything you could imagine labled and organized to perfection. After so many blatant signs, I noticed the shoe fit, and it was time to wear it:)
Alright, so let’s move onto what keeps you busy professionally?
What sets me apart is that I am a small, personal, and trustworthy team and pride ourselves in building an immediate connection with you. I then bring in my team and introduce everyone to feel comfortable and go over a game plan. We are touching all their personal belongings, wouldnt you want to know everyone going through your stuff? Lol, so building a fun, loose, and trusting enviroment I try to make number 1 on my level of importance. I’m currently most proud of how happy each one of my clients have been. I’m always trying to find new areas of their home for me to organize, and whatever possible to enhance there day to day life, while implementing our new system we created! Luckilly enough I have been able to get to where I am today all through referrals and very happy clients! Thanks to my wonderful and supportive web of friends and family I am lucky to have created such a wonderful and loved team. The main lesson I have learned is to take the extra steps and pre-cautions!!!! Business is a lot more expensive when you are paying for it twice! 🙂
Any places to eat or things to do that you can share with our readers? If they have a friend visiting town, what are some spots they could take them to?
My Home and Surrounding areas! I live in Hollywood and there is always something new to see! I love the Griffith Observatory, Echo Park, and the Walk Of Fame I believe it is some of the best views in LA. Then later head over to West Hollywood for dinner and end the night walking the WE-HO strip and seeing the night stars.
The Shoutout series is all about recognizing that our success and where we are in life is at least somewhat thanks to the efforts, support, mentorship, love and encouragement of others. So is there someone that you want to dedicate your shoutout to?
My amazing mom, Jill Helman at the Body Bungalow! She’s given me endless support from the very start. Funding, support, and most of all mental support! I started my buisness at a very young age, so having someone to talk to day and night was what I needed most coming up. After I told her that this is what I wanted to do full-time she helped me create a game plan, with her succesful buisness as well, she gave me all steps needed to start a business. Additionally, she contacted all of her friends within her web of and I scored my first clients! 🙂
