We had the good fortune of connecting with Barbara Heller and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Barbara, what led you to pursuing a creative path professionally?
Ever since I was a kid, I’ve loved going up to strangers and connecting with them on how to make the world better. I also love sharing stories, impressions, and songs with others and connecting people to one another. The creative projects I work on and Workshops I run naturally unite others. I have tried many times to quit a career in the arts or teaching and do something more “practical”, but it never works.

Can you open up a bit about your work and career? We’re big fans and we’d love for our community to learn more about your work.
I can often be found on the street talking to strangers about deep subjects while my camera rolls it into scenes for my next Documentary. I have a deep curiosity for what helps people heal from trauma. So most of my content- the Documentaries, Original Songs, Sketch Comedy, and my Clubhouse Discussions and Shows circle around that. I hosts a podcast under the same name as my Clubhouse Club, “See One Beautiful Soul” which tackles the subjects of “Forgiveness” and “Tools for How to Live a Life of More Freedom”. I host two comedy rooms in The Comedy Lounge on Clubhouse: “Impression Idol” think American Idol but only “celebrities” competing, and “Motivate Yourself to Mediocrity-Aka Horrific Life Coaching” with myself and Satirical character Nate Catanus.

I’ve been told by a lot of people that my content is funny and inspires people to take more action so that we can become more connected to ourselves, each other, and to The Divine. I also teach Online Classes and In person Workshops to groups and sometimes 1:1 in the area of Opening Up to what your Creative Voice wants to say next and how to Practice listening to that and following through with what you want to do!

Any places to eat or things to do that you can share with our readers? If they have a friend visiting town, what are some spots they could take them to?
I love The Annenberg Beach House in Santa Monica. I love the restaurant, the beautiful views you can walk through in that area and the pool to swim in-when it is open. I also love to sit on the terrace of the Marion Davies Beach House. I also love to take drives up in the canyons and sit on the mountain at the Self Realization Fellowship. I also love to grab a healthy bite over at Kreation Cafe and then walk along the Venice Canals.
