Meet Blake Yoder | People Leader & Entrepreneur

We had the good fortune of connecting with Blake Yoder and we’ve shared our conversation below.
Hi Blake, what do you attribute your success to?
I would contribute to our success by the ability to remain open to change and data-driven when making decisions. We’ve had to lay down ideas and paths that we wanted to resonate with but just haven’t. In the meantime, we’ve been able to thread the needle of providing our customers what they want while also building the brand in a manner that we’re proud to showcase.

Alright, so let’s move onto what keeps you busy professionally?
My career has been a number of twists and turns. I’ve learned how to balance a life that is more than just “the job I do”. My career has taken me to people leadership and management and small business ownership. It’s been exciting to be able to synthesize the entirety of my life together rather than viewing all of the pieces as separate

Let’s say your best friend was visiting the area and you wanted to show them the best time ever. Where would you take them? Give us a little itinerary – say it was a week long trip, where would you eat, drink, visit, hang out, etc.
Have a cup of coffee and breakfast at Orchard Coffee. Follow that up with a mid-morning drive up the Blue Ridge Parkway. Lunch at Singletree Kitchen followed by shopping at Axe and Awl Leatherworks, Funky Fern, and Soul Sisters Depot. Grab a post-shopping beer at Blue Ridge Beer Hub!

The Shoutout series is all about recognizing that our success and where we are in life is at least somewhat thanks to the efforts, support, mentorship, love and encouragement of others. So is there someone that you want to dedicate your shoutout to?
I want to give a shout-out to my wife and partner, Amanda. Without her support to let me dream the big dreams, we would have lost out on an adventure together
