Meet Brandi Kiel | Makeup Artist

We had the good fortune of connecting with Brandi Kiel and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Brandi, is there a quote or affirmation that’s meaningful to you?
Yes I do have a favorite affirmation. My favorite affirmation and, I say it daily is; “I dont chase, I attract what belongs to me will simply find me.”

Can you open up a bit about your work and career? We’re big fans and we’d love for our community to learn more about your work.
I believe EVERYTHING is art. In art I see love I see creations things so beautiful to look at and experience. I am talented at anything art based Music, poetry, drawing, painting, acting, hair, makeup. I know this because as I child it is all I ever consumed myself in. As an adult and with children of my own art became less of my life. When I decided to take back control of my happiness after seeing the joy music and art brought to my own kids. I had to lead by example and I started tapping back into my art. Makeup is something I have always loved, also another lane of income for a mom. I see a face, I see where I can highlight and uplift, I see where I can create beauty. Creating this beauty makes people looking at their reflection smile. I want to make people smile at themselves in the mirror because they deserve that. We all do. No goal is easy but if you want it bad enough you will get it!

Let’s say your best friend was visiting the area and you wanted to show them the best time ever. Where would you take them? Give us a little itinerary – say it was a week long trip, where would you eat, drink, visit, hang out, etc.
SO! I am going on year 3 here in California so bear with me. Venture is the most beautiful so far. I would definitely prepare a picnic for the car for a nice drive up PCH to Point Mugu. Along the way stop at the sand dunes. Ventura State beach for sure! I would defiantly head down to Santa Monica for the Pier its a must. San Diego is also a blast Gaslamp district has a great night life. However spending a lot of my child hood in the Midwest area Big Bear for some snowboarding and lodging would also be on this list. I want all of my friends and family to be closer so why not give them the ALL in one package of California.

The Shoutout series is all about recognizing that our success and where we are in life is at least somewhat thanks to the efforts, support, mentorship, love and encouragement of others. So is there someone that you want to dedicate your shoutout to?
Success for anyone doesn’t come easy. Though my journey to success has been a lonely one, there are people that believed in me when I couldn’t see the bigger picture. My Grandmother to put first at my list. M y best friend Cassy, she’s done more than she has ever needed to, to keep me in a positive mind frame in hard times. Jack Jackson CEO of the Eagles Organization, has been an amazing mentor. I wouldn’t be here without his guidance. My sister she’s my right and my left hand. The book I want to mention is actually a book that grew us both in a life transforming way. The Four Agreements. I definitely encourage you to live the life changing experience this book gives. Last but not least My Daddy, because he always does his best.
