We had the good fortune of connecting with Carrie Diaz and we’ve shared our conversation below.
Hi Carrie, what’s the most important lesson your business/career has taught you?
You are capable of accomplishing more than you ever thought possible.
Alright, so for those in our community who might not be familiar with your business, can you tell us more?
When you walk in the door at Best Friend Central, it’s more than a retail experience. Our motto is, “Did we just become best friends?” because we all deserve to be seen and appreciated. Our community stops by to feel connected, get encouragement, and soak up the positive vibes we foster. Our shop is like your personal cheerleader meets your best friend’s closet with a little wellness coaching sprinkled in. We are the new IRL retail experience
If you had a friend visiting you, what are some of the local spots you’d want to take them around to?
Definitely stop by The Palm Coffee in Magnolia Park for their Lucky Charm coffee drinks – they’re always mixing up fun over there. I love hitting All about Poké on the same street for fresh lunch. The Yuzu Ponzu is my favorite sauce. If you have room for dessert, a block away is Romancing the Bean for the lemon scone that tastes like a dreamy citrus cloud. My secret place for the best vintage jewelry is on the same block as me at Best of Times Antiques.
Shoutout is all about shouting out others who you feel deserve additional recognition and exposure. Who would you like to shoutout?
This Shout Out goes out to the ever fabulous Sami Henry for her tireless support of Best Friend Central! Sammi W for her uncanny ability to paint Leopard print all over a white wall at a moments notice. And Ali K for helping me make moves into the future and of course, Clyde.
