We had the good fortune of connecting with Chantal Sanchez and Romina Spinelli and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Chantal & Romina, can you walk us through the thought-process of starting your business?
The Spinelli-Sanchez Group was created to introduce a powerhouse team in real estate that allowed us to deliver more value to our clients than ever before. The synergy between Romina Spinelli and Chantal Sanchez creates a force to be reckoned with. After a year of collaboration in the real estate market in San Diego and creating events for their clientele and the local communities, Romina and Chantal decided to join forces as two of the most respected agents in our community. This merger has been extremely meaningful for not only the principals, but to Chantal’s husband and business partner, Charlie Sanchez.

Alright, so for those in our community who might not be familiar with your business, can you tell us more?
Each member of the Group offers a unique experience and value to their clients. With over 20 years of combined experience, and close to $20 Million in sales last year, the Group’s clients value their wise counsel concerning any situation that may arise in buying or selling a home and keeping them informed throughout the process.

Romina Spinelli is a Luxury Designated Agent who has a keen eye for design and innovation. Having lived in the La Jolla area for more than two decades, she offers to the group her design renovation skills and talent, and can guide a homeowner through the whole process of redesigning whether they plan on keeping the home or for a higher value for sale. Trustworthy and dedicated, Romina goes above and beyond to help the clients make smart, informed decisions about their investments. When she is not busy working with her real estate clients, Romina is also a philanthropist. Her and Chantal are also a member of The Charitable Foundation, a non profit organization held by employees and agents of Berkshire Hathaway that donates grants to local charities, and Romina is also a member of Bilateral Safety Corridor Coalition, BSCC is a non-profit organization—comprised of a network of over 120 government and non-profit agencies in the United States and Latin America (making BSCC a bi-national organization)—that works bilaterally to combat human trafficking along the U.S.-Mexican border region

Chantal Sanchez worked as a GREEN Realtor with new luxury sustainable homes in the Palm Springs/ Joshua Tree area, before relocating to San Diego. Having worked in public relation agencies in both the US and Canada previously,Her listings have been featured in Dwell, Mansion Global, LA Times, Locale magazine and NBC. She is also specialized in new homes development and works with builders and architects as serving the board of directors for the San Diego Green Building Council. Her unrelenting work ethic and negotiation skills have earned her trust among the Group’s clients. Working alongside Chantal is Charlie Sanchez, whose thorough knowledge about the market and understanding the numbers has earned the respect of the clientele. Before working on the sales side, he owned a successful home inspection business and understands the ins and outs of a home.

If you had a friend visiting you, what are some of the local spots you’d want to take them around to?
One of the best spots in La Jolla is the La Jolla Cove, check out the Birch Aquarium, go surfing or just check out the stores and restaurants at La Jolla Shores, or go shopping and visit art galleries on Prospect St (aka the Rodeo Drive of San Diego) at the La Jolla Village. For dining, Puesto offers amazing and fresh tacos and tequila flights, while for date nights check out NINE-TEN for farm to table foods or Eddie V’s for happy hour and oysters.

Who else deserves some credit and recognition?
We wouldn’t be successful without the surrounding people around us.
