We had the good fortune of connecting with Charley Pavlosky and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Charley, how does your business help the community?
This is a great question! Quite simply, we enable anyone, anywhere to create their own business and revenue stream from any videos they have. Even if they only have a few hundred friends or contacts to reach out to. For the average person, just $500. extra per month can be the difference between making it or going under. With our platform, anyone can monetize their passion, one video at a time and make enough money to make a real difference in their lives. It is the ultimate empowerment tool. I am quite honored and happy to be able to offer something like this that will help people everywhere, without regard to their station in life, and make things better. I find that extremely gratifying.

Can you open up a bit about your work and career? We’re big fans and we’d love for our community to learn more about your work.
I believe we are born to live a life through artistic eyes. Whether that becomes our predilection or not, depends upon our upbringing and outside influences. I’ve been raised in such a fashion as to see the world through the lens of a storyteller. For me, every thing, every event in life is just part of an unfolding story and I can choose to either put my attention and influence on it or not. Each story is unique and worth telling and we get to determine if we want to play a part. And that is the beauty of life and how I apply myself to it- through those eyes. From there, I take action according to how I’d like to see the story play out. Always positive, upbeat and proactive, always looking for the best possibility. I don’t see the obstacle, only the path there… to the goal at hand within that story that I choose to craft.

Let’s say your best friend was visiting the area and you wanted to show them the best time ever. Where would you take them? Give us a little itinerary – say it was a week long trip, where would you eat, drink, visit, hang out, etc.
Oh, LA is a magical place! In no particular order, I’d take someone to a little Oaxacan hole in the wall in Santa Monica next to the bowling alley on Pico at 4th and eat amazing food, drink Mexican beer from the bottle and watch TelaNova until 2am. That would be just one experience. I tend to stay away from the mainstream and rather, look for the unique places where people really live and eat and come together. Still, some places are magical, even though well known, like the Griffith Observatory at night- magical! The Santa Ana winds blowing across the hills! Wow. I’d take them on a special hike in Temescal Canyon, and introduce them to a secret ‘humming cave’ a hidden waterfall, and up-close-and-personal to a couple of my local critter friends- including a rattlesnake whose acquaintance I’ve made over the years! And yes, a mountain lion I know, whom I’ve named Henry. (Don’t worry, I’m not reckless, rather deeply respectful as they approached me in friendship first!) As I have a deep connection with the Earth energies, (obviously) I’d also take them to my favorite secret surf spot. And if you think there are no secret surf spots left in SoCal/LA, you’d be mistaken! But I won’t reveal that here…so shhhh! 🙂

The Shoutout series is all about recognizing that our success and where we are in life is at least somewhat thanks to the efforts, support, mentorship, love and encouragement of others. So is there someone that you want to dedicate your shoutout to?
Wow. Yes a lot of people. Some of my many influences/friends and mentors (inadvertent or not!) over the years have been Norman Vincent Peale, Napoleon Hill, Andrew Carnegie, Kurt Vonnegut Jr., Irving Azoff, Chuck Roven, Gary Gilbert, Marv Mattis, Nicky Hopkins, Steve Florian, (a great writer and wonderful friend) Peter Zinner and Katina Zinner (look them up!) Warren Yeager, Eric Moore, Harold Kleiner, and of course my best friend and soulmate Tina Tara, as well as Michael Friedman, Keith Barnes and the wonderful team at ShopSee and Trending Spirits and Bainbridge Distillers, including Erin Wood! I have learned so much from so many people due to their kindness, decency and simple behavior. I have learned how to be a better version of myself just from watching their lives in action and just listening and learning as to how they conduct their lives. For these and so many others I am grateful, because I continue to learn from them every day.
