We had the good fortune of connecting with Chris Rodway and we’ve shared our conversation below.
Hi Chris, we’d love to hear more about how you thought about starting your own business?
Well when I started out nobody was willing to give me a job due to having no experience. So I created my own project and hired myself. That’s how I realized I love producing and running the whole operation. So I started my company, and here we are years later making huge projects!
Let’s talk shop? Tell us more about your career, what can you share with our community?
My company is called Movie One LLC, and I do all of my producing and original filmmaking through it. I am a producer, actor, writer, and rock singer. I love what I do more and more every day, & work really hard. It’s been a long and difficult road getting to where I am now, but I wouldn’t have it any other way! Nothing worthwhile is done easily. I grew up being completely obsessed with the movies, and I’m here to make sure that they stay awesome!
Any places to eat or things to do that you can share with our readers? If they have a friend visiting town, what are some spots they could take them to?
Well Polo Lounge at the Beverly Hills Hotel is a must for sure, Cuban seed cigar co. on Sunset Blvd is always great, and then while in that area taking in the scene at the Whiskey or the Viper Room is always a fun time. Honestly it’s hard to narrow down there’s so many cool places around LA! Who else deserves some credit and recognition?
There’s so many people who have helped me out over the years who deserve much more than a shoutout! Definitely NY Times bestselling author Dalton Fury and his estate for believing in me to bring his universe to life, to Mike Henry for starting me down the right path, to Daniel Schnider for taking on this journey with me, and for showing me the ropes along the way!
