We had the good fortune of connecting with Christian Robinson and we’ve shared our conversation below.
Hi Christian, what was your thought process behind starting your own business?
For me it was about taking control of my future, guiding others, taking advantage of the opportunities placed at my feet and going after my heart’s true desires. Freedom is the ultimate goal, and I’d rather work 3x as hard doing what I want to do 23 hours a day than carving out someone else’s dream that doesn’t align with mine for 8hours a day.
Can you open up a bit about your work and career? We’re big fans and we’d love for our community to learn more about your work.
What sets me apart from others is patience. In a creative space you have to be careful to not rush anything. I’m most excited about a new show that I have coming out soon. I got where I am today with an immeasurable amount of prayer, hard work and dedication and it was the furthest thing from easy, but while on your journey you have to remember to have fun. Fully engulf yourself in your passion and have FUN! Even if you encounter challenges you can make the challenges fun! One of the lessons I learned along the way would be gratefulness. It is imperative to be grateful. Think about where you were when you were hoping to get in the spot you are in now and be grateful that you are here and able to see new heights from your current spot, and even if you haven’t moved too far from where you initially started use that as fuel to get to where you truly want to be.
Let’s say your best friend was visiting the area and you wanted to show them the best time ever. Where would you take them? Give us a little itinerary – say it was a week long trip, where would you eat, drink, visit, hang out, etc.
I can’t give my secrets away haha, however I hear Malibu is a great place to frequent.
The Shoutout series is all about recognizing that our success and where we are in life is at least somewhat thanks to the efforts, support, mentorship, love and encouragement of others. So is there someone that you want to dedicate your shoutout to?
There would honestly be too many to name, I’ve been blessed enough to receive guidance and advice from many greats and I’m certain there isn’t enough space in the article to fit in everyone that I would shoutout or thank for their priceless gems that they’ve bestowed upon me.
