We had the good fortune of connecting with Christopher Pappas and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Christopher, we’d love to hear more about how you thought about starting your own business?
I wanted to share the experience of writing a song with anyone who felt inspired to do so. I believe there’s a creative side in all of us, and those who want to explore that side through music should have a space to do so; and I wanted to create a space for them.

Let’s talk shop? Tell us more about your career, what can you share with our community?
Growing up I always wanted to be a songwriter/performer. A sea change in my songwriting came when I realized that I’m not necessarily the best person to perform every song I write. That really opened up my process to more meaningful collaborations and writing with other artists, which in turn, has really helped me in building a career as a songwriter.

If you had a friend visiting you, what are some of the local spots you’d want to take them around to?
I’d say we saddle up at the bar in the back of Palermo’s and call it a day.

The Shoutout series is all about recognizing that our success and where we are in life is at least somewhat thanks to the efforts, support, mentorship, love and encouragement of others. So is there someone that you want to dedicate your shoutout to?
My wife Mary Beth! Not only was it her idea to open my home studio to people, her encouragement forms the bedrock of my career in music.
