We had the good fortune of connecting with Christy Bareijsza, CMP, CMM and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Christy, what role has risk played in your life or career?
Risk is an absolute part of life and when combined with blind faith, critical to achieving success. My entrepreneurial career was built from a combination of passion, continued education, a healthy sense of competition and the awareness that goals cannot be reached through complacency . In my own personal experience, my proudest moments have been driven from making an unconventional decision, often not fully acknowledging that the result could end up being an utter disaster. I am a firm believer that preparation is key to achieving your goals and if you have truly done the work building up to the opportunity, the reward behind the risk will always prevail.

What should our readers know about your business?
My company, Events By Red Carpet produces corporate, social and experiential events. What makes my team different is that we flawlessly customize each event and ensure that all five senses are being touched throughout the experience. One major challenge has been the pandemic, which the required quarantine has forced us to eliminate events completely. How we have managed to get around this global crisis is pivoting our services to consult on crisis management and re-branding services as well as advise on contract negotiation to ensure our clients are protected when being forced to postpone or cancel their programs. Having been successful through other economic challenges, I have learned to stay ahead of trends and to be understanding of extenuating circumstances and client needs. The ability to be flexible without compromising our brand or business relationships has allowed Events By Red Carpet to successfully flourish through any storm.

Let’s say your best friend was visiting the area and you wanted to show them the best time ever. Where would you take them? Give us a little itinerary – say it was a week long trip, where would you eat, drink, visit, hang out, etc.
Places I love to visit: Lunch at Nobu in Malibu with shopping at the Malibu Country Mart A WEHO Saturday afternoon BINGO game with Billy Francesca at the Standard on Sunset followed by the best classic Italian experience at Dan Tanas. A walk down Rodeo Drive combined with dinner at Crustacean and their famed garlic noodles. Dinner at the Hollywood classic Musso and Frank Grill followed by a secret evening at the famed speakeasy The Blind Barber in Culver City Grabbing the best sub sandwiches at Uncle Paulie’s and heading over to compete at the Highland Park Bowl.

Shoutout is all about shouting out others who you feel deserve additional recognition and exposure. Who would you like to shoutout?
Genuine success is always a combined effort and I would like to dedicate my shoutout to my father, Charlie Bareijsza. An entrepreneur himself, he exemplified the value of hard work through example, while instilling a drive to never accept anything less than what is deserved. He taught me to take rejection in stride, as it is not failure, but rather a challenge that will eventually result in opportunity. As a child I watched him take calculated risks to build his company, not always making the most conventional decisions, but having the foreseen belief that the results would eventually fall into their proper place. His demand for excellence in education and business standards required me to push far beyond my initial career expectations and I am forever thankful for his guidance and support.
