Meet CK Steele | Actor & Producer

We had the good fortune of connecting with CK Steele and we’ve shared our conversation below.
Hi CK, we’d love to hear about how you approach risk and risk-taking
I try to live by the old saying “fortune favors the bold.” I have found that some of my greatest achievements so far have come from stepping out of my comfort zone and having faith that everything works out exactly how it’s supposed to in the end.

Let’s talk shop? Tell us more about your career, what can you share with our community?
My passion comes from a deep love for humanity and storytelling. I try to keep my performances grounded in truth. With characters, I tend to lean towards the more challenging roles. It’s fun for me to find a way to make the misunderstood vulnerable. Showing the audience a different side of the character, and usually through that, a different side of myself. The path getting to Hollywood was definitely not easy. I had a lot of professional setbacks with projects never finishing due to whatever excuse filmmakers wanted to use (I’ve heard them all). It was very frustrating and I would get so discouraged knowing I worked so hard on something that would never be seen. But I truly love what I do, and that love has always been enough for me to jump right back into the madness. All that lead to me teaming up with some local filmmakers back in Cleveland and producing my own feature film “Don’t Shoot the Piano Man”. That was easily a top 3 of my favorite projects I’ve ever done. I learned so much about filmmaking and what it takes to be a leader.

Any places to eat or things to do that you can share with our readers? If they have a friend visiting town, what are some spots they could take them to?
I think first stop would have to be Venice. I love the vibes there. After that, we’re going out for a night on the town. Some cool spots in Hollywood and West Hollywood I’ve discovered in the last couple weeks.

The Shoutout series is all about recognizing that our success and where we are in life is at least somewhat thanks to the efforts, support, mentorship, love and encouragement of others. So is there someone that you want to dedicate your shoutout to?
There are so many people to thank. I have really been blessed and I always try express my gratitude to them. To great filmmakers like Des Matelske and Manny Liotta who have pushed me artistically, to ride or die friends and family that have kept me going over the years.
