We had the good fortune of connecting with Cody Conk and we’ve shared our conversation below.
Hi Cody, we’d love to hear more about your end-goal, professionally.
The end goal is to run my own creative agency, working with brands and traveling the World to do so. I also want to continue to uplift creatives, teach & develop, and show others in my field that anything is possible as long as the time and dedication is put into it.
Let’s talk shop? Tell us more about your career, what can you share with our community?
I’m currently a full time photographer, film maker, and NFT artist. I’ve been in this field for 3 years + and have dedicated my life to achieve these goals. I spent most of my life on the East coast (NJ/Philly) and was always fascinated with photography. As I continued to learn more and improve my skills, I decided to take it to the next level and move to California to pursue those dreams. I take a lot of pride in my compositions and trying to find new shots in some of the most popular locations. I dealt with many challenges through this career, leaving my family, leaving my corporate America job and going full time, but the experiences and lessons I’ve learned along the way are moments and lessons that I’ll cherish forever.
If you had a friend visiting you, what are some of the local spots you’d want to take them around to?
With out a doubt, we would full send to Yosemite. Yosemite was one of the main reasons why I decided to move across country, as it was the first National Park I ever visited. After witnessing it for the first time, I knew what I wanted to do with my life and knew that the West coast was going to be my home one day. Glacier Point road is one of my favorite places on Earth, and you can never go wrong at Tunnel View.
The Shoutout series is all about recognizing that our success and where we are in life is at least somewhat thanks to the efforts, support, mentorship, love and encouragement of others. So is there someone that you want to dedicate your shoutout to?
A lot of my success was brought forth by my peers & other creatives. I always push to be the best and have been inspired by so many in the space to continue being the best photographer that I can be. Seeing some of the work from these talented creatives really push me to be more innovative and drive me to continue until I reach my goals.
