We had the good fortune of connecting with Danielle Fiers and we’ve shared our conversation below.
Hi Danielle, what led you to pursuing a creative path professionally?
Like most people, I was let go from my corporate job in 2020 at the start of the Pandemic. I decided to make lemonade out of the lemons I ended up with, and decided to try my luck and take a risk and start acting. I knew I moved to Cali to be in entertainment, so I decided to give it a solid try instead of being so nervous and wanting to work in a corporate office. I took a chance, a risk. I stepped out on faith, and it has been one of the best decisions I’ve made.
Can you open up a bit about your work and career? We’re big fans and we’d love for our community to learn more about your work.
I like to think of myself as an entertainer. I am a classically trained vocalist, who also works as a Voice Actor, Commercial Actor, and a Hand Model. In my opinion, all of my natural talents and abilities set me apart from others. Being able to have a hand in so many avenues of the entertainment industry affords me the opportunity to keep a steady flow of income and bookings.
I turned my years of voice performance training into a job of voice acting, took commercial acting classes, and hand modeling came pretty naturally! The lessons that I’ve learned through it all, is you get what you put into it! I operate as if it’s a 9-5 job. I am always active, if I’m not doing self tapes, I’m always researching, or submitting for auditions. If it’s not acting I’m working on, I’m filming music videos for my EP. There’s always something creative to come up with!
The one thing I’d want the world to know about me…is that I have NO PROBLEM putting in the work! Just put an opportunity in front of me and I’ll take it from there!!
Let’s say your best friend was visiting the area and you wanted to show them the best time ever. Where would you take them? Give us a little itinerary – say it was a week long trip, where would you eat, drink, visit, hang out, etc.
Oh man! I am such a home body!! I always tell people coming to visit Cali… to come with some ideas!! I do enjoy visiting Malibu Beach, but usually there is an event a friend is coming into town for, so I end up being the tag along!
The Shoutout series is all about recognizing that our success and where we are in life is at least somewhat thanks to the efforts, support, mentorship, love and encouragement of others. So is there someone that you want to dedicate your shoutout to?
Honestly, I want to shoutout God. I leaned on Him during this journey. The uncertainty of becoming self employed after working for a company with steady income is scary. So I have to should put my faith in God and knowing He was going to work everything out for good!
