Meet Donna Hefner | Housing Director at Crossroads of Southern Nevada

We had the good fortune of connecting with Donna Hefner and we’ve shared our conversation below.
Hi Donna, is there something that you feel is most responsible for your success?
Having a supportive and uplifting community is indeed crucial for success. Surrounding yourself with people who believe in you and support your goals can provide invaluable encouragement and motivation. Keep nurturing those relationships—they are a vital asset on your journey towards becoming the best version of yourself.
Alright, so let’s move onto what keeps you busy professionally?
My career started as a front desk Covid checker in 2020. I then moved to a behavioral health technician, moving onto lead bht, and then Supervisor within a year. I took on a housing supervisor position when I was offered an entire building. I was given the opportunity to help 160 people suffering with homelessness and addiction. The end of 2023 I was promoted to Director of Housing. I get to go to work with a purpose and make a difference in peoples lives.
If you had a friend visiting you, what are some of the local spots you’d want to take them around to?
Vegas has so many amazing things to do and places to eat. We also have a ton of free and fun things to do. Depending on what kind of trip you are looking to have we could hit the strip, or climb Red Rock.
Shoutout is all about shouting out others who you feel deserve additional recognition and exposure. Who would you like to shoutout?
Koala Island, crossroads of southern Nevada, shine a light, Samaritan House and the man that tolerates me Jeff Butters. So many people have helped me learn and grow.
