Meet Dorrina Shajari | Legal Document Assistant/Paralegal/Notary Public/Process Server

We had the good fortune of connecting with Dorrina Shajari and we’ve shared our conversation below.
Hi Dorrina, can you talk to us a bit about the social impact of your business?
Opsequium Legal Support Solutions was built on the belief that access to justice shouldn’t come with a heavy price tag or confusing barriers. Our goal is to make the legal process more approachable and affordable for everyday people, whether they’re dealing with civil lawsuits, uncontested divorces, probate matters, evictions, business filings, deeds, or simply need reliable notary or process serving services.
We serve individuals who might otherwise feel lost navigating the court system alone. By helping them prepare and file documents correctly, we not only reduce stress and delays, but also give people the confidence to advocate for themselves. Behind every form we prepare is someone going through something deeply personal, whether it’s closing a chapter, protecting what’s theirs, or taking a brave step forward.
Opsequium is about more than paperwork, it’s about showing up with integrity, care, and clarity for people when they need it most. That’s how we create real, lasting impact in the community.

What should our readers know about your business?
Opsequium Legal Support Solutions is not just a business. It is a reflection of everything I have fought for, everything I believe in, and everything I know people deserve when they are going through some of the most difficult chapters of their lives. I started it to give people the kind of help I wish more of us had when facing legal systems that can feel cold, confusing, and unforgiving. Whether it is a civil lawsuit, probate matter, divorce, custody issue, deed, business filing, or just needing documents served or notarized, I show up with care, clarity, and respect for what someone is carrying behind the paperwork.
What sets Opsequium apart is the humanity behind it. This is not a transaction-based service. Every single client I work with is met with compassion and attention. I know what it means to be overwhelmed by legal stress, to not know where to begin, to feel like no one is really listening. I do not just complete documents, I walk people through it, I educate, and I empower. I bring a decade of legal experience, but more importantly, I bring heart and deep passion.
Starting this business was the biggest risk of my life. I walked away from an over six figure salary job with 87 cents to my name. No backup plan. Just a vision and a calling I could no longer ignore. There were nights I could not sleep wondering if I made a mistake, wondering how I would survive. But something in me knew I was not meant to play it safe. I was meant to serve, to create, to lead something of my own.
I am most proud that I did not quit. That even on the hardest days, I chose to keep building. Every win, every client helped, every door that opened because I dared to believe in myself, that is what keeps me going.
If there is one thing I want people to know about me and my brand, it is this: You do not need permission to bet on yourself. You do not need perfection to start. You just need to trust that what is meant for you will find you if you are brave enough to move toward it. Everything in alignment,

Let’s say your best friend was visiting the area and you wanted to show them the best time ever. Where would you take them? Give us a little itinerary – say it was a week long trip, where would you eat, drink, visit, hang out, etc.
If my best friend was visiting LA for a week, we are doing it all. The city, the coast, the culture, and the food. LA has so many layers and I would want them to feel every bit of it.
Day 1: Welcome to LA
We would start with brunch at Republique because the pastries and ambiance are unmatched. Then we would walk around The Grove for light shopping and people watching, maybe catch a movie upstairs. Dinner at Bestia in the Arts District, followed by drinks at Perch to take in the city views at night.
Day 2: Beach Day
Morning yoga in Santa Monica and breakfast at Urth Caffe. Then we would rent bikes and ride the path to Venice, stopping at Abbot Kinney for local shops. Dinner at Malibu Farm Pier Cafe for sunset. That view never gets old.
Day 3: Culture Day
We would spend the day at LACMA and The Academy Museum, then grab lunch at Joan’s on Third. That night, drinks and live music at Hotel Cafe in Hollywood. Always a good vibe and great talent.
Day 4: Soul Reset
Start with a hike at Runyon Canyon or Temescal, followed by spa time at The Now Massage or Wi Spa. Dinner at Crossroads Kitchen, especially if they are vegan or open to trying something different and elevated.
Day 5: Eastside and DTLA
Coffee at Civil Coffee in Highland Park, walk around the neighborhood, then head downtown to explore The Last Bookstore and check out some galleries. Dinner at Bavel or Yangban Society and maybe a rooftop night if we are up for it.
Day 6: Glam and Comedy
Start the day with a little glam moment. Shopping or just walking through Rodeo Drive for fun. Then sushi or Italian somewhere simple but solid. End the night with a comedy show at The Laugh Factory.
Day 7: Reset and Reflect
Brunch at Blu Jam Cafe, then The Getty Center for a peaceful, art filled afternoon. That night, dinner at home or something lowkey with candles, music, and good conversation before they head out.
LA is full of magic. You just have to know where to look. The food, the views, the hidden gems. I would want them to leave feeling full in every way.

Shoutout is all about shouting out others who you feel deserve additional recognition and exposure. Who would you like to shoutout?
None of this would be possible without the people who believed in me before I fully believed in myself. First and foremost, I owe everything to my parents who instilled in me a relentless work ethic, a sense of duty to serve others, and the courage to take risks. As a first generation Iranian-American, I have watched them build from the ground up and that resilience runs deep in everything I do.
I also want to thank the mentors and attorneys I have worked alongside over the years, especially the ones who not only deeply believed in me, but who also treated me like more than just support staff. The ones who took the time to teach, challenge, and trust me. Their guidance gave me the confidence to branch off and start Opsequium on my own.
And finally, my friends, my chosen family, who constantly remind me of my power even when I forget. Their encouragement, tough love, and endless support have been my anchor through every late night, self doubt spiral, and leap of faith.
This is not just my win, it is all of ours.
