We had the good fortune of connecting with Douyé and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Douyé, how does your business help the community?
Full Circle Psychotherapy, or FC Psychotherapy for short, is committed to providing accessible, culturally aware, and emotionally safe mental health care. The practice helps individuals and families break generational patterns, strengthen emotional regulation, and build healthier relationships within their communities.
By combining deep therapeutic insight with practical, real world tools, FC Psychotherapy empowers clients to show up more grounded at home, at work, and in society. The ripple effect is stronger families, clearer communication, and more resilient communities.

Can you give our readers an introduction to your business? Maybe you can share a bit about what you do and what sets you apart from others?
My practice, was built on the belief that healing is not linear, it is layered. I wanted to create a space where people feel seen fully, not just treated. What sets the practice apart is the balance between depth and practicality. Insight is important, but so are tools you can actually use when real life happens.

In addition to my clinical work, I also collaborate with athletes and community organizations behind the scenes. Performance pressure, identity, burnout, and emotional regulation show up everywhere, not just in traditional therapy settings. Supporting individuals in high performance spaces has been a powerful extension of my work. It reinforces that mental strength and emotional intelligence are built, not inherited.

If you had a friend visiting you, what are some of the local spots you’d want to take them around to?
We would keep it simple but elevated. We would start with dinner in Beverly Hills maybe on Rodeo. I love seafood so a nice restaurant nearby would be ideal. After dinner, a walk to get our energy back.
Another day would be Malibu/ Marina Del Rey for ocean views and a long reset walk. Another afternoon in Santa Monica, ending at the Santa Monica Pier at sunset.
And of course, one night would be live jazz. Ideally one of my own concerts. Music is a huge part of who I am, and sharing that experience would make the week complete. Good food, ocean air, meaningful conversations, and music.

Shoutout is all about shouting out others who you feel deserve additional recognition and exposure. Who would you like to shoutout?
I would dedicate my shoutout first to my children. Becoming a mother transformed not only my life, but also the way I practice. Raising them deepened my empathy, strengthened my patience, and gave me a lived understanding of attachment, emotional regulation, and the complexity of family systems. They have been my greatest teachers in presence, growth, and unconditional love.
I am also incredibly grateful to the clients and families who have trusted me over the years. Their courage and willingness to do difficult inner work continue to inspire me and shape the evolution of Full Circle Psychotherapy. Each story shared in my office is a reminder of the resilience people carry within them.
